hi

my mate has the Cybersmart all-in-one R169 a month ADSL, 384k with 1GB cap.

I know that Cybersmart have some WEIRD things in their contracts... sooo...

Is he allowed to use another account, say, one from Webafrica?

I have some spare cap on my account, and I wanna let him use it but not sure if that is gonna cause a sht storm

I have a cybersmart all in one line for over a year now and from the very beginning i have been using multiple accounts. So far no problems.

Just one thing, don't phone their support and ask them to help you with other isp accounts :)

You can use it as long as you don't call them for help on how to switch accounts. The only reason they have such a clause is because some users call them asking how to use another service provider...

An ISP cant tell if you use another ISP's account on your line, so go ahead. Just dont call the help desk, and they will never know. Unless they find this post.

Yes, no problem, I've done it too.

In fact, I emailed Cybersmart's MD last year and told him that I'm using Afrihost too, due to their cheap per Gb rates. :D

Ya, it's common practrice. I do it too. They can see if you're using another ISP if you take your line thru them, btw
