Cybersmart First Impression!!! Terrible

O yeah and openweb is IS and axxess is SAIX I think

With the IS acccount you WILL get a few ms higher than with the SAIX account but not a very huge difference (That's if you get it for online gaming purposes)

I emailed cybersmart and asked about their connectivity and my reply from Laurie was:

Depending on your circuit speed, some account run on our infrastructure

Which would explain the different prices per speeds.

My ADSL is being installed on Thursday (bye bye iBurst) and I will be using Cybersmart.

There is no excuse for poor customer relations but they are the lowest price around and clearly they are trying to help us out here in S.A with our ridiculously priced ISP's instead of trying to shny us like many of the others.

PS: Yeah I know I'm bringing back the past here with this post :P

Btw, if Cybersmart buys it bandwidth per gig from SAIX why do they charge differently for the different speeds?
I think they work on the principle that those on faster speeds are more likely to use the full amount. Seems to be working out for them.

LordMerlin, yeah that is 100% correct I know all about getting what I pay for - I usually don't go the cheap route.. but I'm gonna take my chances here and if it doesn't work out atleast I can 'return' and get a new one ;)

I've got nothing but praise for Cybersmart. Excellent ISP, no problems, no downtime. Instant sign up process. Got my ISP details via SMS as well. Great value.

Edit: Been with them since December.

I have received excellent service from Cybersmart so far. As soon as my line was installed I was online. Great service , great communication.

They're offering lower prices to people with slower connections. Probably exactly what the other ISPs should be doing.

I agree. I can see where they are coming from. And lower prices is what a lot of people want, so, yes , well done cybersmart :)

yeah, Cybersmart are a great company, I have NEVER had any problems that werent sorted out within 30mins. Really good!!

Here are some fast facts:

1. An isp is free to make as many terms and conditions as they like as long as it does not break the law (What little law we have left in this country).

"As a customer you also can choose which isp you would like to go with, so if you dont like their terms and conditions dont use them."

2. No ISP can black list your ADSL line. Telkom can, but that would be for non payment only. Telkom even had to install a line for the owner of Hellkom.

3. Bandwidth is Bandwith, its all the same at the end of the day, what makes the diffrence is customer support, and price, having said that, if you are paying cost for something, how much support can you expect ?

And yes I am from an ISP "ODS" we strive do give good service at good prices. both IS and SAIX
