Cybersmart?

Definition Cybersmart: When you cyber someone and use a keyboard cover

Yes it is auto detected

I was initially on 192 line, when Telkom upgraded me to 384 last year, they automatically detected and sent me an email stating that I was now using 384 ad the price increase.

The reason you can only use your account in one place is because they lock your account to tour NAS port (Telkom ADSL port). They can't pickup if you using more than one ISP I use both my Cybersmart and Openweb accounts with Route Sentry, I also have a webafrica account, if you planning on doing the same just don't call Cybersmart with other ISP queries (just read one of the previos posts).

I have a Cybersmart account which I share with an SA-Gateway account. The Cybersmart account is cheaper, but as said before, hard cap kicks in at 3 GB.

The SA-Gateway account (I.S. based) gives me plenty local bandwidth (for gaming, downloading, etc. after the 3 Gigs is used up
ADSL 3GB

* Softcap 27GB
* 5 Email Accounts
* Virus/SPAM scanning
* Webmail
* 24/7 Support

Price: R220.00 (inc. VAT at 14.00%)

Just dont use Cybersmart as a second ISP if your first ISP is Telkom... in some weird way I don't know how, can they detect if you are using another ISP.

They send you an e-mail that you have been blacklisted... im not at Telkom so I don;t have these worries, but watch out all you softcap people.

They send you an e-mail that you have been blacklisted

Blacklisted from what? From paying them to use their service? Why does this not make any sense to me :confused:

Its such a crowded market. If I used them and got blacklisted I wouldn't think much about it and just sign up with an ISP that wants my business

Startup costs

Assuming a person chooses this cybersmart option, do the normal adsl setup costs apply, i.e. the R400 some odd buck telscum bloodsucks out of you upon startup?

And if so, does anybody know whether they offer the self-install option?

When will IS ever fix this.. I'm pretty sure they'd get soo much more users switching over. Then again maybe people buying two IS accounts work out better.:rolleyes:
