I have an 'old' D-Link router (DSL-264OU - nearly four years' old now). I use it to connect to wireless and run a home wifi network in parallel to a Mac airport network which I use for the printer etc. The former by default, as the wifi is always on. The D-Link router network isn't password protected while the airport network is.
This didn't worry me three or four years ago as we're in a country area and there was no one around to tap into our network. Now that I need to secure it, due to huge loss of bandwidth, I can't access the router admin console at the IPs presented on the net (and in the user guide). Anyone have any idea as to how I can secure this network using an alternative?
(Hope my question, and the background to it, makes sense! Thanks in advance.)
