Any high average damage 2h crossbow will do the trick. Obviously something with the correct elemental damage for your build will be the best. I also salvaged quite a few 2h crossbows in the past which I could have used now. But then I again I have done this with every other piece of gear at least once in the past. I never learn.

Lulz - learnt my lesson, I think :erm:

Archer has a cool two-hander already though - that bola proc is very cool
 
So went from 1 Mara, 0 RoRG to 4 Mara and 2 RORGs in about 4 hours. Got the Mara Legs just as the server was dropping for maintenance. I had already finished the rift Guardian and the message was 10 minutes until server shutdown.... Figured, 'not enough time for a new one, might as well farm this one out then'. Mara Legs dropped with 4 odd minutes to go.

Now just need either head or Shoulders and I have the 6 set bonus. Just the 5 companions feel strong enough together. Combined with a few sentries hanging around and things disappear. I cant wait to see what a hatred spending sentry does to this dps.
 
I'm cruising through T5 now, takes 10-12 minutes to clear a rift up to the guardian. Pretty much the only thing I changed was getting +fire on my bracer. Again almost no drops even though I was on T5. I fully expect legends to rain down tonight! The RNG ha got to swing sometime... Got the Marauders chest now as well, so as soon as I get a Tasker and Theo, T6 gogogo.
 
I got 1 extra piece of Marauder last night, so at least I'm up to 2 now. My dps is quite decent although I'm not doing a lot of +fire yet.
 
Whats the highest grift u guys can run?

In a party i can do 32, but solo i get creamed, can do around 29 solo.

Unity combo is really key for running higher Grifts from what I can tell, not sure if you using it or not though.
 
Highest I got to was 35. On the high levels you really need to get lucky with the type of mobs that spawn and the map. Those act 5 mobs and Raknaroth look-alike boss makes it impossible to complete in time.

Pretty much in the same boat as you. Got a lekka Unity ring I want to roll a socket on and then try solo a GRift above level 30 as my Templar already has his Unity ring.

Seriously need to get my toughness up.

Yeah u doing some solid damage and a bit squishy (like us all :P). We have VERY similar toons, difference being i have one or two more +res gems in my gear where u have dex gems. Also running one different legendary gem.

Good point. Will have to re-look my +resistance gem situation. Rolled +10 cooldown reduction on my 2h crossbow last night. Might even be able to stick a +% life gem back into my helm's socket.
 
Im wondering about dropping the Kridershot. The 2h xbows just do so much more damage, thoughts ?
 
The Kridershot is a very good bow but not the best for the sentry build. Not sure about you but I have no resource issues which the Kridershot is best suited for? I am for now sticking with a high 2h crossbow to make sure my sentries do maximum damage.

The 3 options i see for sentry build:
1. Kridershot + free frost arrows
2. 2h xbow for maximum hitting power
3. Nats 1h xbow + 1h xbow + nats set bonus (extra chc)

I guess i need to do a few timed boss runs to see which is best, but in the end i think all3 options are good and will fall within 5% of each other.

I dont like the idea of dropping sentries and not firing myself, which is why im using the krider at the moment

Nice to have so many options. I usually let my sentries do all the work while I run around like a little girl trying not to get hit. :D Give a 2h crossbow a try and check if mobs die quicker for you.

Made a few small changes to my gem layout. In-game damage is still above 1 mil and my in-game toughness is now above 10 mil. Hope it helps.
 
Im also thinking of re-looking the lightning build to perma stun the mobs. It may make higher grifts possible. So thats the belt, the ring and multishot to stun everything. mmmmmmm 5pm must come now
 
I think a team of DH could do nicely in GRifts. Need 1 to stun the mobs while others do the damage. Not sure if stunning loses effectiveness the higher you go in GRifts though.

RNGesus was smiling on me over the last 24 hours. (5 hours of gameplay)
I found 4 mara pieces (taking me to 5 in total)
bombadier's
Natalya's 1handed xbow with 2.7k dps and a socket
RORG.

My actual dps is a little low though. Now it is time to farm the optimised upgrades of the items that I have. Maybe RNGesus will keep on smiling.

What LeGems are you guys using? I am currently running with the Smiting one and the physical bleed on crit.
