D3 Witch Doctors Jungle Hut

So I could master a total of 94% Fire damage, without fire damage on my rings and helm. I think it is fine but I lost alot of sheet damage about 200k unbuffed dps. This makes the fire build, for me, lesser than my physical build... I need to level up 2 more WD's, this swapping gear around is monotonous (first world problem WD)

I looted a homunculus and thought I'll try and incorporate sacrifice into my arsenal. It was reworked from a 130% weapon damage to a nice 1090% weapon damage. The item spawns a zombie dog every 4 seconds.
Changed a passive circle of life to give me a chance to spawn a zombie dog when stuff gets killed. Using Provoke the pack works the best. giving me 20% increase damage for 5 seconds with every dog I sacrifice. with the passive in a large mob I can basically spam sacrifice. The the most dogs I could notice I sacrificed was up to 6, which means 120% increase damage. now with my current dps being just over 500k, it went over 1.1mil.
Everything just melts on T1. Semi Zero Dog build like the good old days.
PS I would like to see what damage it does when a Tall Mans Finger comes into play...

I'm running full Jade Harvester set, gambled gloves and pants! Stats on my gear aint great. Doing 850k dps unbuffed, 5.2mil toughness. seeing 380mil damage numbers are great!:D

Hi Jaco
Did a fire build, not that great. My Fire damage was 89%.

Now I switched over to Jade Harvester, last two day picked up 5 pieces of the gear. Shoulder one is missing.

Cold damage currently on 44%. I need to up this.
Need to get behind the mechanics what to cast first and what other follows.
At times I get it right then they die around me chop chop. Even last night T4 the elite died quickly.
I also have knife or dagger called something ......harvester that stack up to 10 times.

My Build: http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Marmite-2938/hero/49835182

Have look and see what stats to adjust were.

This is like the apocalypses spell for wizzards.

Need some help on this.

Hallo marmite, good to see you are playing a real hero class now:p

I like playing Jade harvester build almost as much as the zoo doctor, zoo doctor being number one for me

When I play jade harvester I use these set of skills http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/witch-doctor#ldUehY!WTSe!bZcZab
The mechanics regarding the skills works as follows or how I approach a pack of monsters:
I use Piranhado first to pull everything together and I follow up with a quick Locast Swarm-Pestilence and a Haunt-Resentful Spirit a couple of times, then I run in as close as I can or as close as the Soul Harvests' radius, everything should vaporize then. If it is a bad pack of elites where you cant get close I will then use Spirit walk to do so before I Soul Harvest-Siphon, Shipon I find best because it heals you.
It is all about timing
Some mechanics that is a must is Cooldown Reduction, for you to more frequently use Soul Harvest and Piranhado.
Not much is require but a Flawless Royal Diamond in the helm does wonders also some on your off hand if you are going to use one, as well as on your shoulders and gloves, ok so you need quite some cooldown :)

Now gear wise:
What you really need is a Quetzalcoatl voodoo mask this is for those pesky loner mobs that does not need to be soul harvested imo. CHC and a socket is key. This mask halves the DoT, thus jumping in more quickly to soul harvest mobs becomes a bit tricky and require quick action
Using this helm you need to use Jade shoulders, get some cooldown reduction and haunt damage with primary Intel an Vit
Your chest is good
You amulet good but change your legendary gem (see below) you dont need enforcer gem because you are not relying on pets as much, only zombie dogs to absorb some damage
Your gloves also need some Cooldown reduction plus CHD and CHC and Intel
Your bracers should be as follows Cold skills damage%, Intel, Vit, CHC 6.0%
Belt is fine for now, but I prefer Witching hour or string of ears, depending if you need damage or toughness respectively
Your stone of Jordan is perfect
Your RRoG need some CHD or CHC
On your pants remove firebomb damage to any toughness spec like armor or %life
Boots need Intel, Vit, armor/%life and Movement speed
Off hand rather use Uhkapian Serpent to direct some damage to yours dogs, with Haunt damage increase and cooldown reduction. But a thing of the deep with haunt damage and CDR is also great, so you can choose what works best for you.
Now for what weapon to use is a tough one. If you are using an off hand a one hander that works great is a Sun Keeper For that Increased damage against elites
You can also use a two hander, you are lucky to already have one is The Furnace also for that increase elite damage

The legendary gems to use for the build are Moratorium for some survivability
Bane of the trapped and Bane of the powerful for added damage

So this is my view of this build and how I play it. Any more question ask away.

Tnx for the great tips.

Now I need to practice. As you said all about quick time.

Last question do yo need to cast all of these spells within the group you want to kill.
Individual: Haunt followed by Soul Harvest
Group: Piranas, Locust swarm then Haunt and last Soul Harvest.
I see when they pass on it hops to the next person in line.

I got one Elite last night T4 Rift guy, he just melted away.

What I usually do with individual monsters and some that might have escaped the harvesting, I just hit them with haunt and locust swarm and move on to the next batch, thus saving soul harvest for when I need it.
The reason haunt jumps to the next is because there is still time on the haunt but no host to haunt so it goes to the next one, but soul harvest should've eliminated the time, so I don't know if it is a kind of bug, but I would just cast haunt again to make sure, don't want to waste soul harvest

Morning Jaco

Got my puzzle together.

In this week I received my Headgear called Quetzalcoatl no socket. So I need to hunt more.
Last night I finally received my shoulders.
So headgear off Quetzalcoatl on, testing full DOT effect. Works much better then the default headgear.
The DOT effect works better with the above mask. Bam and they all melt away. Are they going to fix this problem with the 1/2 DOT effect from the Jade headgear.
My wiz has less damage on weapon but is more effective in playing T6.
Two hander damage over 900k and on hander over 800k
Working looks the same as wiz profile.
Wiz has more power then the WD. My wiz is currently just below 800k damage.
Even if you select a hand weapon with cold damage, makes no diff.

Now that I am playing this class, I reckon this topic needs to be revived for purely selfish reasons :D - I need tips and advice!

Given that my time is now severely restricted from a gaming perspective, I need to learn from others experience rather than my own :o

That said, I reckon I'm going to enjoy this class.

The Cube is frikken awesome - I picked up a Lvl 59 :( SMK :D - previously, I would have had to trash it with a heavy heart - now, I can extract the cool power and use any other weapon - :D

To say that I'm stoked is an understatment.

Shoutout to @jacodebeer - thanks for helping me level so quickly last night.

That Hex power that you activate to turn into a Chicken on Volt/RedBull/Caffeine/Coke/Speed is absolutely awesome to observe in action - don't think anyone can catch you in that mode.

Using the smk in the cube works very well with a dagger of darts build, remember that the smk only works if you got fetish hitting stuff, this way you will be able to spam big bad voodoo and fetish army, having a 2 piece zunimassa set bonus fetish army usage becomes "immortal"

Heh, got the Coat on my first punt with Kadala - boots next :D

Btw, Rule 4c in the Season 4 Challenge has been fixed

and I like Dagger of Darts, I really do.

I presume that when I equip BBV and FA I will drop Gargantuan and Acid Cloud

Yes but you will have to maybe keep acid if you going zunimassa, mana spenders make your fetish hit so hard, but my fav mana spender for DoD build is either haunt or grasp of the dead.

How are you doing that speed Chicken transform and the Toad? Aren't they both Hex Runes?

Yes but I'm using the new Arachyr's set with the Manajuma set
Arachyr(4) Set:
Hex gains the effect of the Toad of Hugeness rune. While Toad of Hugeness is active, you take 40% reduced damage. After Toad of Hugeness finishes his meal, you will heal for 10% of your maximum Life per second for 10 seconds.

Manajuma's Way(2) Set:
Your Hex - Angry Chicken explosion damage is increased by 200% and slain enemies trigger an additional explosion.
Your Hex - Angry Chicken lasts 15 seconds and movement speed as a chicken is increased by an additional 100%.

I like that chicken. Just really not that dumb bigass toad.

It goes like this:

Start killing elites
Bigass Toad eats one
I go make coffee
when I get back it spits the elite out for the last time and I can actually kill it

Anyway that said, WD is an awesome class that not enough people try. GL & HF with it. Will most likely make one later on in the season.

It's a weird class. I blame their bouncy fire/poison balls for people not liking them. It's not like a manly arrow or an axe that gets right in your face :)
