Is it still possible to do the step up by GR Lvl method of getting all your gems quickly?

Did my first GR last night and it opened at GR27 - with my current gear survival wasn't an issue but it took me ages to kill stuff - 39 minutes :wtf: to complete the Rift - no deaths.

Still pretty under geared, running with a 4 piece Zuni (helm, coat, gloves, pants); SMK in Cube, DoD (thnks Jaco) - realised after the rift that without the Carnivaal I can't really run a full DoD/fetish build with BBV (too little killing power), so I swapped BBV for Acid:Rain and that seemed to help (from what I could see in my T3 bounty runs).

I like GotD for control & damage, but should probably put Locusts on the RMB instead as well.

When you have the 6piece Zunimassa set, GotD will be great, thats what I use on my zunimassa build, locast swarms aint that great when you consider the mana/damage ratio, with what you are buiding one mana spender is needed, the rest must be all control and survive skills, where pirahnado is both. I use this build as zuni darts, this is if you have a belt of transcendance to replace the sycophants passive

Cool - the Acid:Rain definitely helped with the killing once I swapped out the BBV.

I also switched the Fetish rune to give me two blowdarters rather than 3 knife wielders - Fetish Sycophants build up a pretty decent army quite quickly and I noticed in the rifts with tight passages that the critters get in each others way (great for blocking up a passage btw).

All said I'm pretty happy (especially since I don't have decent boots, rings or ammy yet) - just need to get the dps up a bit so a I can kill quicker.

I'm amazed actually at how quickly I've been able to run comfortably at T3 (the 4 piece Zuni helps a lot with the toughness :D )
 
Also played around with my passives - need to play some more

My two 'permanents' are FS and SV of course.

Going to try PtV and BadMed with the above and see how it goes.

this is why your next most important item is your Carnevil voodoo mask
 
Hey guys,

Playing my first real WD this season and so far really enjoying it.

Anyone finding items harder to find this season?
 
I am by no means an expert on WD but Gdruid here is some things to look for on your current build. Roll for a carnevil first you need that asap. Then you need to get zunni boots & fetish belt. Change your bracers also but first would be the Carnevil(had to make one in the cube).
Maybe you, Jaco & I should play a bit tonight to share loot( if I can get my IRL friends to leave me alone) :)
WD is much better build wise this season we have 3 builds that can be GR50 viable, cant wait to see what people come up with in the next few weeks.
Would love to play darts but its just to glass cannon, & then I would like a pet build with dogs & garg but its not viable atm.

Oh definitely need all that stuff.

Whatever I have at the moment is pure lucky drops (about 4 hours of Lvl 70 play including donations from Jaco in one post Lvl70 Rift :D )

I'll ping you guys IF (big if that :( ) I am on tonight - hopefully you will be around.

RNG last season i gave up after not getting an ancient darts, Will enjoy my run as long as I can cause I will not be playing the whole season. I can see myself doing like 2 weeks still then I'll move along, if I can hit GR55 I will be happy GR60 is above my "paygrade" :)

Meh, you okes were full up last night by the time I got on.

@jaco, if not yet running with a Carnevil, is there any point in running SMK in the Cube? After all, the critters don't die that quickly so they don't need the cooldown.

I'm probably going to cube my RoRG - don't see any other use for it really.

The hunt for a Carnevil is on - 850 shards last night and all I get is that Tiklandian and a Jade Hunter (both of which I sharded in a fit of pique :o )
