What about the rest of the world? Is the ANC also at fault there or is it only in South Africa?
It wouldn't suprise me if the DA thought Zuma raped the World's economy and the ANC did not take necessary steps to stop him.

South Africa cannot do anything about the recession, economist Dawie Roodt of the Efficient Group said today.
# SA hits first recession in 17 years
# DA blames ANC for economic woes
He was reacting to first quarter 2009 Gross Domestic Product data released earlier.
According to Statistics SA, GDP for the first three months of this year tumbled an annualised 6.4 percent after declining 1.8 percent in the final quarter of 2008.
According to economists, two consecutive quarters of negative growth meant an economy was technically in recession.
"The main reason for the recession is manufacturing and mining ... and they are doing badly because SA is not exporting," Roodt said.
"Are we going to force the Americans to buy more platinum?" Roodt asked. Yes, the ANC should force them!
He emphasised that there was nothing South Africa could do about the contraction in its growth as long as the global economy was in recession.
"We should maybe concentrate on sectors other than mining and manufacturing," Roodt said.
He added that even if the SA Reserve Bank cut interest rates "by 500 basis points," given the global environment, "this wouldn’t achieve anything".

what else can we give but our thoughts ?
Hmmm... on the other hand, the newspapers may be starting to target a different demographic.
This demographic, which I will call "A", has a certain antagonism towards a another demographic, which I will arbitrarily call "D".
A great way to get members of the "A" demographic to pick up a newspaper is to show them a headline that appears to bash members of demographic "D". Only on reading the rest of the article will the A's find out that the D's were actually talking sense all along. Before you know it, a whole bunch of A's are turning into D's, there's more support for the D's, the country does better as a whole, the middle class expands and what do you know: more people can buy newspapers.
The problem with this is: A's only read headlines.
The ANC should take necessary steps to ensure that South Africa is the only country to escape effects of Global Economic Crisis.
I think it's a little ridiculous of the DA to blame the ANC for not protecting us from the recession. Gordon Brown hasn't protected England. Obama hasn't protected America. Nobody could have realistically put policies into play to avoid this as nobody really expected this to happen. Was it only a matter of time? Probably but i think to a large extent it caught everyone off guard.
in short the anc are to blame for some of the issues not being dealt with, poorly handled and misnanagement. seriously lol to much credit == world ****up, not anc in part.
i wish da would return to being an opposition than to being a moaning bitch about everything.
just go out side and walk the street, have a look around and you will at least see one or two issues that has been piss poor managed.Explain more what they could have done and what issues they are to blame for??
maybe something like, less suffocation of businesses ? jobs can't just pop up by themselves; they are created when the demand exceeds the output and there needs to be an increase in the workforce which should happen when one can do more and more business and so on.How do they stop or help the situation? What can they do to increase business for companies when people are not spending money?

"This not only confirms that our economy is now in a full-blown recession, but also that the ANC government has not taken the necessary steps to ensure that we survive the worst effects of the global economic crisis," DA MP Dion George said in a statement.
He called on the Reserve Bank to cut interest rates by at least 100 basis points as "a much-needed measure to stimulate domestic demand, and get the economy going again".
