DA FTW: On Twitter

If life was like Twitter we'd all be remarkably witty, if abrupt. We'd sometimes finish sentences with an agreed upon keyword, pronounced with slightly different emphasis, and we would all vote DA.

The DA has really disappointed me these last few days, almost enough to vote ANC, but then again the way the ANC "operates" with these pathetic police escorts disrupting traffic I'd rather not...... hmmm luckily I'm not registered :)

Me and the wife received sms's from the ANC this morning to vote anc

Cant believe ppl dont vote! And those are normally the ones who complain loudest

I got one from the DA and one from the ANC. The ANC's was a 'please call me' ;)

As per Wikipedia: "Democracy is a form of government in which all citizens have an equal say in the decisions that affect their lives." - What a load of bullsh*t!

Wake -up!

What is the point of swopping one corrupt politician for another?

And please enlighten me where in the world does "democracy" truly exist - it is only a concept to suppress the peoples true wishes? And don't tell me the USA - that is a two party state!

Democracy is only a concept and does not truly exist in any modern state!

The only way people will have real power, is if politicians are elected to office for their promised implementation of policies against strict deadlines and should they not honour their commitments fully; (or to be found guilty of an offence of the said state) to be dismissed from office immediately without any future state benefits or protection from prosecution and be disallowed from holding office in future.

And in order to accomplish this you would require a free media, once again where in the world does this exist? Corporate interests rule!

Once this occurs, I'm willing to stand in a queue to vote.

Think! and if you don't know how to: http://www.criticalthinking.org/aboutCT/define_critical_thinking.cfm

If you really want to make a noise about politics, try to overthrow the current system - then you doing something worthwhile.

Yup, they are the ones who bitch the most but are too lazy and useless to do anything about it

i find it very sad that people dont vote, lots of students in my class are not registered, how can we expect change if we cant even stand in a line for an hour on a public holiday.
