DA no longer recognises Mbete as Speaker

Easy to recognise the speaker .... shes the plump one at the front of parliament one usually with some silly thing on her head and who supports the ANC and calls the cops to beat up the opposition.......

If the DA are unsure, the can ask an EFFer ....

What scares me is either the electorate is completely ignorant of the corruption in government, or they are not and actually want it.

Either way the white population will still, as usual, be labelled as the cause of all the ills in this country. I recon there is will be a flexing of the last muscle the minority has: tax.

Yes. We are animals and more to the point we are pack animals that are territorial and opportunistic.
It takes a strong external factor or good breeding to overcome natural tendencies.

We whites developed our culture and system of behaviour because the alternative was death by starvation. We had to cooperate and delay gratification to survive winter. Thus greed and corruption was dealt with severely.

That was then. Today we live in excess so reversion is expected. Thus the rise in cultures based on illusion, entitlement and dreams of something for nothing. The hard lessons are forgotten and the underlying animal condition asserts itself.

Wow, I've haven't come across such backward thinking for a long time, whew.
Do you actually have any evidence to back up your point of view?

The very fact that you say we are 'pack animals' indicates that you recognise we naturally act with cooperation towards others in our 'pack' rather than selfishly competing with them, that we look after other members of our 'pack' rather than being territorial and opportunistic with them. So you own argument actually indicates we are inherently social and altruistic towards each other rather than greedy and selfish. Of course there will always be individuals who are more greedy than the norm and individuals who are more altruistic.

Then you go on this nonsense about 'we whites' as if the colour of your skin makes you personally responsible for all the achievements made by other people in other times who just happened to share your skin colour. You seem to conveniently ignore the fact that cultures all over the world developed from tribal societies - societies which were altruistic in nature - tribes are made up of individuals who cooperate with each other and behave altruistically towards each other. The human race would not have survived at all without such cooperation and altruism. You talk about whites developing a culture based on cooperation but all societies were based on this - contrary to you assertions it is only our modern western capitalist society that rewards greed and celebrates selfishness.
 
RAMAPHOSA DEFENDS MBETE: REPORT

Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa has defended National Assembly Speaker Baleka Mbete, calling her impartial, Beeld reported on Monday.

She was doing a good job in difficult circumstances amid efforts to disrupt Parliament, he reportedly told the newspaper in Itsoseng township, near Lichtenburg, on Sunday, while attending a youth development imbizo.

"We must support her," he was quoted as saying.

Beeld reported that Ramaphosa did not want to say if or when President Jacob Zuma would answer parliamentary questions about the R246 million so-called security upgrades at his private homestead at Nkandla in KwaZulu-Natal, from which Public Protector Thuli Madonsela found he unduly benefited.

"We will speak about that in the next few days," Ramaphosa reportedly said.

On Thursday, opposition parties shouted down Mbete when she tried to prevent them from bringing dozens of motions -- most of them related to spending on the Nkandla upgrades -- to delay the adoption of a report exonerating Zuma in the Nkandla saga.

African National Congress MPs retaliated by objecting to the motions. Tempers flared when Economic Freedom Fighters MP Ngwanamakwetle Mashabela refused to leave the podium when she was ordered to do so by house chairman Cedric Frolick.

Mashabela had called Zuma a "thief" during a debate on the Grand Inga Hydro Project in the Democratic Republic of Congo and refused to withdraw her remarks.

The phrase 'we whites' should have been a bit more flexible (although I am not sure how it could be re-phrased) because it obviously should include north Africans/ancient Egyptians.

That somewhat inflexible description is solely responsible for all the wonderful achievements, ideas and inventions that originated from other people in other times in the last approximately 15000 years in North Africa, Asia and Europe.

Sub-Saharan Africa, by contrast, has produced nothing of any value at any time up to and including today.

We see it in history and the way they break down and steal anything of worth in the current situation. Have you read the thread where the school was stripped to nothing? Do you know the stats of cable and metal theft? Thats the pinnacle of Africa achievements. Break down what once was. Zimbabwe is the prime example!

Re - everything that has happened in Sub-Saharan Africa since the beginning of time.
If anything of any value had happened in Sub-Saharan Africa since the beginning of time then surely the locals would have written it down for future generations?

As to deciding decide what is valuable or not, we can only look at what is still in use. You might consider sorghum grain (with a much more popular non-PC name) which was grown by migrants moving south from east & central Africa who had to stop because it would not grow beyond the Fish River.

Muti killings, ukuthwala, bull killing, sangomas are largely discredited except by superstitious pricks like Zuma and have absolutely no value of any sort.

You really are ignorant of history in Africa aren't you? You pretend like sub-Sahara Africa had never developed high civilizations, never had flourishing agriculture or large cities - you pretend they never developed highly skilled crafts or trade or anything. You want to believe they just did nothing. Are you ignorant of the The Timbuktu manuscripts? Are you ignorant of all the many kingdoms and empires that arose in sub-Saharan Africa?
