I don't see why we are basing votes on what the poster looks like? Shouldn't we be more concerned with their policies and overall manifesto. Who cares who the cute chick on the poster is.
You know what they say about assumptions right?Whatever - putting someones face on an official party poster is different to some guy standing on the street and you know it. I want to know who they are and I'm going to continue to assume they are candidates rather than that the DA is misleading people.
Then thats your call. If you believe that they are upstanding and can practise what they preach in the next few years, then voting for them is the right thing for you to do.If I was going to vote for a party based purely on the ideals they believe in, rather than the actual people involved in the organisation then I would vote ANC.
No but you could contact them and ask them who are the people who are in the poster. I don't live in Cape Town so i can't tell you. I've only seen posters of Helen Zille.
SweetI asked the same question of Zille on twitter - got the reply that they are party members

This isn't about what the posters look like, it's about knowing who the DA
candidates are. If the 'cute chick on the poster' is going to be tasked with fulfilling the DA promises then I want to know more about her before voting for her. I.
Well why i understand your point i don't see how it makes a difference. I know what the policies and manifesto is for the DA. The candidate will implement that since that is the party's policy. So if it is Joe Soap or Mark Brown they will still have to follow the same thing.
Suppose DA wins the elections, will Joe or Mark Brown handle the Dept of Finance?
DA doesn't want to repeat what the ANC did, does it?
sa is all about the raceAgree'ed. I thought that in the new South Africa we were over that BS already.
People shouldn't vote for somebody based on the colour of their skin, they should vote for people based on what the political party is promising to bring to the table if elected (Which of course, I still have to see a single party in SA ever do but not the point)
Its scary that somebody like Mo Shaik(dodgy) goes to a University to speak about Zuma and thousands of students show up to listen and applaud when he suggests that the NPA might drop the charges against Zuma. These are meant to be so called "educated" individuals.
