Dashboard Cameras

That's the one I have its awesome

Now I wonder how this one would compare to the Prestigio 500....? I want to get two dash cams for both cars. I like the idea of a camera recording the drivers side as well. On the geeko what activates it recording..?

Actually was looking into this myself...

Getting a 4x4 shortly and this could be nice to have in the vehicle.

About 6months
Gonna buy another one for the rear of my car

Yeah want to get one for me and the wife. You would not believe the luck I have when driving around. My wife always laughs because she says I attract bad drivers. I very regularly have people "trying" to drive into me so I think this is a rather good idea. Need to sign up with Esquire though first which has been a bit of a mission in the past (have tried twice before without luck).

What 4x4 are you getting...? :D Also looking into this but I won't lie petrol prices have made me reconsider some choices...

Very old Mazda Drifter...

so my overall transportation expenses will come done significantly, even though my petrol bill will go up.

Plus I can fix the thing with a hammer and some duct tape :p

Only problem with the GoPro is the price, they're pretty damned expensive.

Yup even more so when you look at buying two. Should a class 4 microSD card be fine or does it need to be be a class 10 card...?

Esquire stock quite a few... I have 2, 720p (capable of 1080p) recording front and a lower res one for rear. They have one model that incorporates 2 cams (one facing driver + 1 facing forward) with a GPS module to record GPS coordinates.[/QUOTE

maybe these cameras could be used at test driving traffic centers to deter eliciting of money from the learners.

Absolutely. Would also deter the examiners from failing drivers for no good reason.

Back on this little crusade now..

Got my bakkie two days ago.

Gonna do some research this weekend and see what I can come up with in terms of a decent and affordable option.

Please do, cos if it works for you.. I'll order one as well....

For now I'm just looking for forward facing, will need to be more creative for a rearfacing camera.
