Data usage suddenly high shocking results

Silly question but does the same thing happen with other LTE providers. If not can't you guys drop Telkom?

Major Telkom data loss

I'm having massive TELKOM LTE issues. I had to top up 6 times in August, and that's using the 50GB bundle.

I had to top up twice yesterday and collectively, 750MB was used in 12 hrs. We haven't streamed anything for 2 weeks yet it continues. I topped up at 22:10 with 500MB, and it ran out in 30mins. All I was doing was FTP'ing small HTML files. It's driving me mad.

Telkom say the same thing - how many devices are connected and do you switch the modem off?

It's ridiculous. I didn't have any of these issues with my previous WISP service provider, so it's clearly a Telkom issue. It's taken a week since I logged a complaint without response.

I have a similar problem.

Feedback

I bought a once-off Telkom 50GB anytime data bundle two weeks ago, and within the first week and a half I lost a LOT of data! Where is all the data going???

This is Telkom's feedback thus far:
"Good day

Thank you for contacting Telkom Mobile. Please note that if you are using your SIM card in an LTE device it uses a lot data because of the speed, and videos use a lot data as they have to be downloaded while you perform live streaming. Please confirm if this is the number that you added the 50GB on so we can send you your data history. May you please also provide a number we can call you on.

Thank you.

Chats Service
Telkom Mobile."

I did google it and it seems true that LTE does use more data.

Hmm, something strange on MTN too. My phone still shows data available but R200 air time's gone. MTN sent a message saying my data's being charged OOB??

We get those messages daily even though we don't use data . Tried every trick in the book to block that number !!!
