Hi all,
I am hoping someone here can help me.
I bought a Fiesta Oct 2015 and received a number plate ending in LF; where in fact my license was supposed to be CX. In June, the dealership called me and explained. So I was fine with it and said they just have to change it as soon as possible. They then took about 2 weeks to get their act together (I was not missing work to sit in traffic for miles to get the plates changed) and they repeatedly missed appointments to change the plates.
Anyway, I now have someone elses fines on my paycity account - after multiple emails and many months later, they tell me that the fines will be rooted to the correct person.
I informed them that they are responsible for my fines received before they corrected their mistake for the following reasons:
1. They put me in danger of being caught with false number plates ?? *female in jail*
2. I was not aware of receiving any fines, so I did not change my behaviour.
3. The 32 day grace period has now ended.
I have no idea how much the fines are for - but apparently its a lot according to the sales person.
The sales manager says legally all they have to do is fix the mistake and I am responsible for everything else. Surely they have to take some accountability?
The best part is that I still have not received an apology from the dealership.
Dealership sucks too - broke my PDC and scratched my car when putting the tow bar on (which they forgot to order - but didnt forget to charge me for it)
Please help
