Showmax seems to have fixed some s/w (Explora 1). The "Recently Watched" row suddenly started behaving a few weeks ago and it seems stable.
Also useful to stream future desired things for a few seconds and have it added to the row (a little while later) , easier than searching for it again.

Movies fully watched are then discarded, can't say for series yet.

111 movie pop-up channel. Usual assortment of errors, but I'll just mention one.

Imagine not having a PVR nor economic bandwidth for streaming (I know one guy with these circumstances). But the M-Net group in their wisdom decided to put at least one good, unseen(?) movie on in the wee hours of the morning with no repeats.

Not that CU would necessarily help, about half of the already broadcast titles are still missing.

Maybe if they started thinking like a customer might...

Trying to login via the website to get statements.

Login attempt goes into loop back to that (login) page, continuously.

Last thing I want is their app on the phone, so hope they sort their site out soon, which I find quite useless at the best of times.

I just logged to the site. Zero issues, retrieved my Dec bill

Working for me now as well.
Probably came right shortly after I was originally trying.
They seem to be redoing some s/w, the dstv.com homepage was a mess on Saturday and looked like an older set of routines and content.

Another issue I nearly forgot - something they're doing was causing my Firefox to locally (no new content) automatically refresh pages left unattended, and that spread to other site usage. Now under control.

I have the same problem if I have IPv6 connected.

I find that the best browser to use on PC is Firefox ... Chrome and Edge give the same issues

Ironically, I usually use Firefox on the laptop, but in this instance I was using Brave (Chromium based like Edge & Chrome are) on a PC so that might have been why it happened.

I can just as easily switch to Firefox on PC, but now need to make a mental note to do so for DStv's site every few months when statements needed.

Thanks.

I just had an Explora Ultra installed and no matter how much I try I continue to get the message that "Download Manager is initialising". Anyone know how I sort that out?

For those into the series Billions on M-Net, they're suddenly starting S06 tomorrow night (Monday) @ 21:30.
This is hot on the heels of the US as they broadcast E01 on the 23rd.

Stupid question perhaps but have you tried a complete factory reset? Seeing it's a new device with nothing to lose that would be my first action.

Old online guide searches are useless yet again, just results in "Please enter a valid search item".

Seems like this is becoming a habit now - almost like they are only deciding a few days beforehand what to show when. The Gilded Age - a period drama from the producers of Downton Abbey - was added last Tuesday as well, a day after episodes air in the US. (The 1st episode was GREAT by the way.)

From late tonight we also have the new season of Babylon Berlin - a German crime drama - labeled Season 2 but it's actually season 3 - and for some reason there is a new episode every week night. And the 19h00 to 20h00 slot for tonight which had the wrong program on the TV Guide all week has now suddenly been updated with 2 new episodes of United States of Al (a sitcom normally airing Fridays at 19h00 with this Friday still showing one of those same 2 episodes). Next week Monday 19H00 again shows the incorrect program - something that aired 2 weeks ago.

Also, the new season of Toks & Tjops starts on Fri at 20h00 on kykNET but the TV Guide has a 90 minute timeslot for Binnelanders instead.

I could "understand" if their schedules were full with top series, but not. Looks like a late desperate reaction to their poor lineup outcome.

Another issue the last few weeks - quite a number of first episodes of a series / season have a synopsis that mentions it's the last or second last episode o_Oo_O
Someone must be playing the fool.
(Sorry all, can't be bothered to search for examples now, but one was last week's The Blacklist which although far from a first episode it did do similar - see the catch up copy.)

I also just picked up that the new season of South Park appears to be starting on Comedy Central on Sunday night at 22h00 - if anyone still watches it - 4 days after it starts in the US. Apparently it will only be 6 episodes.

Which makes me wonder, have they given up on showing The Simpsons? We are at least one season behind but it could be 2. That last season we got was burned off as daily episodes around 17h00 or something on 1Magic or Vuzu or somewhere.

I got that a year or so ago, thought it was the age of the decoder. At some point it managed to fix itself

A lot of toggling off and on of internet access going on on my Explora again these days, what must they fiddle with the servers for??
Best part is when it tells you how to make a net connection all over again, I mean wtf kind of software is that?
