From late tonight we also have the new season of Babylon Berlin - a German crime drama - labeled Season 2 but it's actually season 3 - and for some reason there is a new episode every week night.

So this is even worse than I thought - it is a repeat of a season already shown on M-Net! I don't recall ever seeing a series/season repeated on M-Net. They are really hitting rock bottom!

Satellite TV - channel 135, the banner which usually shows the current show & respective times + next show & times, is stuck on "90 Day Fiance" from 4h30 - 5h00 am.

So, over 12 hours already ....

Not that important to me, but just pointing it out ; strange it's only the 1 channel that seems to be like this, on the lowly decoder (DSD 1131) & package we're on (Access).

See that regularly on some channels in the early hours of the morning.

Have also seen it before on other channels, but at the time I wrote it was the only one (Ch 135) plus stuck on that for more than half a day.

Just checked now & it's still the same as I reported before.
Will try a decoder reboot soon to see if it corrects it ....

It's fine on the Explora - a reboot will probably fix it.

I rebooted early this morning & there was no change.

Would probably have to phone them but the few things watched on that channel I already know the nights & times for, so not bothered.

Just strange it's continuing this long, unresolved.

Unplug it from the mains power supply - leave it overnight - power it back up in the morning - then try it again & see if it recovers & sorts itself out... ;)

I'm planning a break, IF Multimistakes allows for it... :-/

Please don't tag me.

Thanks, will try your's & Brian's suggestions some time.

Most night's, though, watch something or other 'til about or up to 23h15 so would try your suggestion (powering off) thereafter until about 8am.

Presume that's enough time but if not will go the factory reset route. .

Weirdness alert for movie lovers - many new MM1 & MM2 movies this month seem to only be showing post-midnight.

Why?
Who knows. I'm guessing it's a keep-us-hooked-on-highest-catch-up-offerings strategy for the many downgrading, as they normally wouldn't spot the later hours initial scheduling / repeats for better-lasting recording.
Or more simply, maybe it's much cheaper for them to premiere quietly during their "struggle".

Any other ideas?
It's certainly very abnormal given their strong dry-period need to attract with better movie offerings.

Have you looked at their Box Office offering recently? It's embarrassing. I get a free rental every month with DStv Rewards and even that's a struggle to spend.

I recently got an Explora Ultra. Brought it home, connected it to the Wifi, watched a lot of Showmax and Netflix without any problems.

About a week later it tells me I have no internet. It connects to my WiFi and finds the router, but no internet.

Same story if I use an ethernet cable. Finds the router, no internet.

Same story with a hotspot from my phone. Connects to the hotspot, no internet.

I've tried rebooting everything. I would appreciate any other ideas.

Something screwed with DStv this morning.

Upgraded to new package yesterday, and everything was working fine last night.

This morning, particularly channels 179 & 181, when switching to them, picture takes significant amount of time to load, and sometimes it goes away completely (like now on 181), interspersed with error messages (eg. connection lost) which come, then go, and / or the info bar which gets stuck completely, or stalls when using left / right arrow keys.

Have already done a rescan.

Anyone else experiencing the same or similar ?

Can't believe I'm the only one affected, but next port of call will be a call to them to confirm it's their services & not the decoder.

Just slightly windy today, so not weather related I'm quite sure.

... plus, info bar times default to start at midnight (last night) for all channels I've just test checked.

Maybe I need to upgrade to a 3B decoder, but this type of issue's only been happening relatively recently, so pretty sure it originates on their end.

There's been a few service issues since last night, so probably them. Can confirm a problem with ch. 179 (and 181 is likely from a similar source even though handled by them differently).

Give it a few hours, or longer as it seems like a serious one this time.
EPG may also be affected.

Can't help more.

Thanks for confirming.

Things seem to be sorted in the channel range 100 - 209
ie. ones I'm interested in & therefore checked.

Then went to news channels, and first one started with (ch 400) is doing same as 179 and 181 were earlier, so as you mention, will take a few more hours for them to resolve everything.

EDIT : things screwy again in / around 179 / 181.

I'm seeing the same keeps-changing issues, and 181 now confirmed this side.

Anyone experiencing these kinds of problems - I suggest avoiding a re-tune which could get you stuck or worse off than before until they sort this out.
