Just as a side note, this has always been my numbers.. strength was actually a bit lower ... 70 or so. Never had any issues though. I would say there's about 30m of cable between my dish and the decoders. Not sure if that strength can (or need to) be improved

My Explora 1 loses the Box Office titles once in a while, or the listing gets messed up. So mostly software IMO.

You can't tell from those readings anymore. Geoff and I determined they're wildly different under all sorts of conditions. But likely okay at those numbers you have, just test a Hi HOR ch. as well such as ch. 132.

Well ... as you know... our competent MC script readers want all above 90% :) Ch 132 returns the same numbers

Best part of that is on some different tuners / indexes it gives 10% or more difference on Strength, lol.

Great
I often swop my two decoders between launch and bedroom and whereas the 2A show 100%/100% at both locations the 3A always show substantially lower figures.

So I assume you guys have your dishes fairly close to the decoders ? not my distance ?
My one decoder is around 10m away and the other is 15m. 90cm dish. No trees or any obstacle that can interfere with the LOS to the satellite.

What did Geoff tell you when he helped you with that setup?

A bit far by industry concepts, but all along you seem to have managed. And not going to be behind your listing fault issue - titles already available wouldn't vanish 'cos new ones are missing.

Software is really rubbish. Don't worry so much, if the cables are over 5 years or looking suspect replace them.

That has been a problem on both
Confirmation - issue on yours as well

Personally, I would say both. They have increased the number catch up assets. It used to be around 600 now it is in excess of 800 with the addition of the soccer world cup. This could be the partition size or bad programming.
Crazy.
Yep, they definitely keep overloading as well. Before it was with the Guides the last few months, even the online ones. Current main additional suspect reasons are extra security software and the too-quick complete overhaul of the Explora menus.

Anyone's "Programs you're watching" tab vanished overnight ? This is on Ultra. Reboot or watching an episode doesn't help.

/Update - Somehow it came back. Will have another look tomorrow after reboot
Yes, been a problem for the last month or so. Only way to get it back is to manually find a show I am watching and play it for a while. The 'Programs Your're Watching' tab then reappears for a while but vanishes the next time I turn on DSTV. Very annoying and I would love to know how to fix it permanently.

I had to move the dish long ago from the middle to the other side of the house for LOS. Was done by Geoff's SIL. One big-ass Jacaranda and a palm tree caused the move :) Cables, dish, lnb are brand new , was done on Friday as part of the Ultra upgrade.

Don't miss Marietjie though. I tried but seemed she was determined to brainwash us.

Anyway, apparently she left as well.

Here's an old email to help us remember :)

Dear Brian G,

beetle bailey has just replied to a thread you have subscribed to entitled - Where should the Logo go ... - in the DStv SD Channels forum of Forum.

This thread is located at:

Here is the message that has just been posted:

The logo's on those screen shots are nothing less than "shocking" and a "disgrace". As a DSTV subscriber I am able to plan my viewing in a number of ways. 1) From the Dish Magazine 2) Via the EPG 3) From the My Favourites or All Channels screens 4) The online Dstv programme guide. So pray tell me why I need to have something that I am currently watching ruined by these adverts?

If Multichoice, oh shucks suppose I'll get told it's NOT Multichoice but one of their providers, want to advertise upcoming shows KINDLY DO SO BETWEEN SHOWS.

Thank you
