yeah, been lurking here (:

myself and some of the other's were having a chat the other day about how the old forum was such a nice community, and then the MC karen.. :laugh: ( sorry if you lurking here as well ;) )
 
Looks like MC are finally doing proper tier cycling - first we got old KykNet content for the Access package, then a movie channel for EasyView (but mostly African Magic stuff). Now they're launching an older-content BBC-Brit-like channel for EasyView, Access and Family.

No entry to any of it for Premium etc., in case someone moans about excessive repeats... not sure that idea will make any attitude difference, and some of us won't like this latest lack of choice.

I noticed that after a load shedding break it really take a long time to propagate.
They are pushing the limits
746 Assets downloaded on Catchup and 9248 in the catch up plus catalogue
 
Catching up through recent posts about the old forum brough back several good... and not so good... memories.

I STILL have an issue with channel logos in the 4:3 safe area after all these years with Universal live channels. I took them on about it on Facebook after which the Universal TV (117) logo was eventually moved to the corner but no such luck to date with Studio Universal (112). Last I bothered to check the Catchup content for both channels were hit & miss - some content with correct logos but most not.
 
"Movie To Be Announced" up to 3 times a day on the 111 pop-up channel :rolleyes:
Still no info for one this afternoon....
 
"Royal Variety Performance 2021" on 101 on New Year's eve - typo, or last year's event again?
 
Some really strange uncoordinated synopses going on with M-Net.

(Mostly relates to CSI Vegas)
101 - episode title does update but an earlier episode's synopsis is repeated for a few weeks.
902 (terrestrial M-Net) - either no synopsis (generic) or fully correct every week.
102 - (Southern Rest-Of-Africa M-Net) - same as 101 or generic.

We don't watch this channel much anymore so may be mostly exceptions, but doubt it.

I don't watch CSI but I have picked up endless EPG mistakes over the last couple of weeks across several channels (wrong season nr, wrong episode nr etc) and none of those I reported - some a week in advance and several times - ever got fixed so I have now given up. I've had to manually record several things because these mistakes meant my series recordings got screwed up so I check all my recordings every day when at home.

Here's a fun bug I don't think mentioned yet.

A reminder set for a Wed. event disappears - check the EPG, sure enough it's been postponed for a week.
Later after a reboot, the reminder is back. This despite the EPG still reflecting the updated info.
