Thank you for today MWEB, thank you.

The day that I am not at work your Zimbra idea goes all south ...
HTTP ERROR 400
Problem accessing /service/preauth. Reason:
account is not active
... and the boss thinks his email account has been deleted.
Who fixed it?

I did MWEB, I did. I think.

Then in my absence his outlook pulls in 4000+ emails. Duplicates everywhere. Such fun.
Who fixed it?

I did MWEB, I did.

In the end who got the blame?

I did MWEB, I did.

Why do people still trust local providers with email services?

Hi ld13, I can confirm if you PM me their MWEB email address.

There's a setting in Zimbra to ignore old mail when downloading. It's under Preferences, Mail, Access from Other Mail Clients, POP access, 'Allow only mail from now to be downloaded'.

@MwebHelp

I think what he was trying to say, in a sarcastic way, was that because no notification was sent to the clients on the Zimbra move, he had to loose a days leave, and go into work. And understandably so.

Hi DERoestorf, I can assure you that we notified our customers before migrating to the new mail server.

Hi DERoestorf, I can assure you that we notified our customers before migrating to the new mail server.

We know that email is an integral part of your life. And so, in the spirit of constant improvement, we've decided an upgrade is in order! And whether you access your email on a PC, laptop or online, you can look forward to a new and improved mailbox within the next 2 weeks.

The best part? You don't have to do a thing. It all happens without you even having to press a button, and we've made sure that you won't experience interruptions or lose any important emails or contacts.

I am/was/is on leave due to studies. Will respond properly once these are over and done with.

My I think was directed at me being the one that fixed it, instead of say a mweb tech.

So there is a setting on a brand new platform (that your clients have never used before) that one can toggle to avoid duplicate emails. But we were explicitly being told not to worry about the new platform. So we did not. Bit of a chicken-egg scenario.
