Debit order date changed for Christmas 2011

My Internet Dongle is permanently plugged into a router. I thus do not use the 8ta Software and therefore do not receive SMS's from 8ta. I was therefore not aware that my debit order date would be changed to the 23rd of Dec instead of month-end as per my contract. As I did not transfer funds from my savings to accommodate the debit order I now have my first dishonored debit order to spoil my name after years of banking, thanks to 8ta.
 
Have you read the contract document carefully?
If there's nothing in the T & C's about the debit order being activated earlier than as per the contract, then perhaps you have a leg to stand on?
 
Whaaat? How can they just randomly change your debit order date?

My Vodacom and WebAfrica debit orders are still going to go off on the first so wtf 8ta?
 
Just come from the local Telkom sales Office. The lady says I am the 4th complaint she has had. The gentleman at 8ta in Cape Town tells me they have had numerous complaints. Makes me feel a bit better I guess. Not too sure whats going to be done about the double bank charges for the debit orders getting dishonoured, nor the black mark on my name....
 
I had so many debit orders bouncing on my account - and yet I still manage to get credit.... :o


I always make sure that I'm up to date with my payments, especially when a debit order bounced.
