I think it's much bigger than "liking soccer" it's about uniting as a nation for a common cause, the world cup gives us a perfect opportunity to do that.
you will not catch me in one of those awful YELLOW shirts, sorry, no ways!
i love yellow but yellow is just not my color when it comes to clothes.

After watching 3rd Degree I was left thinking, we should all get together and donate our dear Debora Patta the Real Bafana Bafana shirt (if she wants one). I think this shows half hearted support. We must FULLY get behind our national team.
I think people need to decide, are you a true Bafana (South Africa) Supporter or not. Are we United as a Country or not. What does South Africa think ?
:wtf: So if you are not a Bafana supporter you (by extension) are "seperated" from the Unity of the Country? Please, your reasoning leaves a lot to be desired. What about your own personal likes and dislikes? Is this not a democratic country? I don't like sport and will not be supporting Bafana. Shame on me![]()

D'you think all the black people who filled the stadium and supported the Springboks for the 1995 rugby World Cup final necessarily "liked rugby" ? I think not, it's known as NATIONAL PRIDE
I think you have to accept that no everyone is happy that we are hosting the biggest show on earth... and it's probably their right to feel so.
They are no interfering with others' fun, so no need to worry about it. Of course they will need a rock under which to spend the next 4 weeks at least.

I find this statement a bit racist. You are implying that all black people like only soccer and all white people like only rugby and that black people supported the rugby as they are more patriotic then whites because many whites don't support the soccer. I've got news for you, I am a white guy and I support Bafana, I have done so since they first started playing internationals, not just now that they are winning. Also a lot of my white friends support them, not all, but most. for those that don't, it really is their own choice. I know a lot of black people that even now won't support the Springboks because they feel it is an Apartheid sport:wtf: but I don't try force it on them.
It's great to hear your point of view Ronjay
