Pity that Razer mice are so prone to failure, because I think they're the best looking mice. Mine failed recently (scroll wheel and a week later LMB) so I got a cheap G103 to use while I searched for a new mouse, and I'm surprised how much I like it compared to my R2k Razer mouse.
Failure, you mean the switches?
2019 and later models have all been remedied, but I don't believe it covers their entire range. Logitech only recently remedied their ever-plaguing double-click issue or, so they said for the second time.
Razor and Logitech is pretty much the cream of the premium mice covering the largest scope, Corsair, however, has very good MMO-style mice. Steelseries has lost its way, but the Aerox 3 is a very good mouse. Then you have outliers like HyperX, CoolerMaster and Glorius, and overseas you have access to Xtrfy, Vaxee amongst others. Cougar has two worthy options available in South Africa which are affordable.
For traditionalists, Zowie is still a very strong brand in this playing-field, but I feel their support outside of Europe is faltering, and many in Europe is now opting for Xtrfy and Endgame as alternatives. As far as I know, Zowie is revamping their entire range at the moment. Roccat is also coming back big time, but you either love or hate the brand, but their mice are pretty innovative.
Ducky is now also into gaming mice.
Asus is schit.
Wireless technology as from 2016 is already on-par with wired, if you buy premium wireless mice that is. If you don't like your cable coming in the way get a mouse bungee.
No mouse is perfect for everyone. I regularly get in fights with 'gamers' about headphones/headsets and mice.
