Decent gaming mouse

Remember he pays more for beer, beer is a lot of empty calories but it does fill you up. Also we're in a family of 3 and we're only about R5k
Very true, beer does fill me up.
most evenings i forget to eat and then just end up eating supper for lunch the next day

Logitech G305 wireless gets my vote if the shape works for you. Waiting for the SteelSeries Aerox 3 myself.

Not really no, too much meat maybe.

What is a luxury?
Depends I guess, things like chocolate, chips, expensive cheeses, expensive meats etc... Instead of covering the essentials first.

My Logitech G5 got long in the tooth and I just replaced it with a G402 Hyperion Fury. R749 on Takealot under other offers.Waiting for delivery

Yeah for throwing the ball at they guy who just killed you in a Doom deathmatch.
Doom used a mouse? In those days you bashed your competitors with your CRT.

Quake, only the privileged had opticals in the early days.

This reminds me though, I had a laser mouse in those days.

Nope, not a chocolate guy, no chips. I do cheese, but I go for the bulk stuff not fancy. I should draw up a list of what I actually buy in a month.

I'm using a Steel Series Rival 500 I picked up on a 50% special a while back. Happy with it but next mouse I'm going wireless. Looks like I'll have to start saving now going by current prices :(

Mine recently broke. Left-click became dodgy and appears to be a common issue. Currently waiting for warranty claim.
Yeah nearly all my Logitech mice suffered from double clicking issues, physical and software causes.
I usually tap the mouse hard a few times or change the pulling rate in the software which solves the issue. The switches are also cheap and easy to replace, Amazon and eBay sells them, eBay is the cheapest.

Aerox 3 is tempting just not of fan of all those holes. Currently have the Rival 3 wireless as my back up, it's a great buy for R1000 from Amazon just on the heavy side

I have replaced the switches in a couple of these, most recently about a month ago. It seems like the Omron switches that Logitech (and some other manufacturers) use are not very good.

I just use cheap generic switches from my local electronics shop (Electronics FG). They seem to work better than the original ones once they have had a few days to bed down.
