Degrading Telkom LTE Uncapped speeds

Been using the uncapped LTE since November without any problems. Mostly streaming Showmax and Netflix with some Youtube in the mix. Last couple of days it has been terrible. I've lost connection to the LTE network multiple times.
 
which areas / suburbs are you experiencing this loss in performance?

I mostly watch hulu which seems to have one setting so around 8pm it's unwatchable but I can still stream crackle. Speed tests are also around 4 meg.
 
During the day speeds are much better than in the evening - it's CRAWLING at the moment - surely this is breach of contract as there must be a MINIMUM speed that LTE should be operating at ? I mean how can speeds drop from 50Mbps during the day to 4Mbps in the evening ! Thats just horse &^*&
 
Yeah just got activated in Northriding. Got about 20meg at 16:30, now I get 2-4meg. Called their customer care and she tells me is because I dont have the antenna installed and I am not connectong to the right tower. What a load of BS.

I think I am going to have to cancel before the 7 day grace period runs out. I dont want to get stuck with this.

Very disappointing. Downloading at 31KB sec I mean come on

It is things like this that is worrying me. I was hoping for LTE to be the solution for me, but not if speeds are worse than my current adsl line speed.

I thought they were limiting the number of people they connected per base station (150) in order to avoid congestion and to provide a consistently high speed.

looks like 150 per 100meg/s.

thats the biggest load of nonsense I've heard in my life, my buddy who lives in mondoer still have 135 spots left on the base station since last year but lately his internet also gone to hell now, 1 user out of 15 users killing it for the rest ya telkom im glad you think the public is not clued up

The towers don't just cater for the uncapped special . . . Add all your capped users, add possible backhaul via microwave, add all the mobile users in the area, add the businesses that possibly connect to the tower.
 
I live in wentworth and speed last night was pathetic,the speed test showed under 1mb. i eventually switched to my 2mb uncapped line

Yes fair enough i understand that concept but you want to tell since last week monday when the issues started that another 500 million 400 hundred million and 10 users join the network on the towers ?

Worst is this is my current speed.... Even if I could only get half of that at night I would be over the moon. Bust goes down to 6-8mb

Hi I believe everyone here is experiencing the phenomenon of the night spider... The night spider comes and spins its web right in from of your LTE antenna. During the day the night spider packs up its web and goes to sleep hence the speed improvements during the day. So best would be to buy some doom and get the sucker while its dark...
