More like from 10PM to 7PM. Already starting to come right again.

I can usually stream a 4K youtube video no problem, but this evening its even struggling with a 1080p stream. I'm also not torrenting or NNTP'ing- so throttling should NOT be an issue. However - it appears to be exactly that !!

It's already back up to >60Mbps. (And not yet midnight )
I'm gonna agree with the posters earlier in this thread with the notion that Telkom's LTE network is just not handling peak-time traffic in many areas.

im guessing the people selling LTE at third party telecoms companies are pushing the sales through causing over congestion. sells like hotcakes..
ISPs need to limit the connections to the towers. at least on adsl if the ports run out it stops the congestion from getting even worse.

LTE degradation is the norm. Every mobile LTE service is guaranteed to do this IMO. Too little control, possibly too little spectrum?, no further investment/ROI and too many people moving about. With any new mobile broadband product you will only get the best experience in the first few months.
With possible exception of fixed LTE that has guaranteed contention ratio and service. i.e. Neotel
On a side note fast dormancy is a load of crap. Just saying

so here is where I am at, I currently have the lte 20gb big promo deal which has expired so I now need to decide between this uncapped lte deal or a 4mb adsl line? I would have preferred 10mb adsl but my area in Randburg doesn't support 10mb..

Whilst agreeing with you, is it normal with other LTE providers for it to degrade from 70Mbps down to 1Mbps, as reported on this forum? Is there anything Telkom can do to improve the situation and reduce the degradation - maybe only down to 10Mbps?

Allegedly only 17 people on my tower but now on vodacom 3g because lte totally unusable. Couldnt get on mybb or access ookla speedtest!

Supposed to be on fixed LTE and telkom spectrum supposed to be different from other cell companies.
