Degrading Telkom LTE Uncapped speeds

No issues here for the last two weeks.
Little bit of slowdown on-peak; but it's minor (20%); and pings are staying under control.

Holding thumbs that it stays this way; it's reminding me of the good performance I got for the first several months late last year when I signed up.
 
Sleepy LTE !

I am in PMBurg and am suffering the same slowdowns unable to stream anything at the moment.
I normally have a ping around 30ms and about 50Mbps

I am also in PMBG and although not on Uncapped contract suffering exactly the same symptoms ( see other post of mine )
I am thinking about an external antenna but if the problem is with Telkom that is not going to help !
I also get ping of about 35 but only 30Mb download ( off peak )
I am very close to a tower ( actually tall building with lots of GSM antennas as well as microwave dishes ) with clear LOS
VERY VERY Frustrating !

Im out Clealand way the external antenna helps with the speed during the day but at peak times there is the same issue with or without it. It seems to be a country wide problem for the most part reading the posts here.
 
Although slow down eg 17mbps or worst case 7mbps my streaming unaffected. My wifi needs to be upgraded. 2.4gh cant match streaming I suspect. 2 netflix streams at hd, 1 youtube at hd and me on gear vr at hd or downloading torrents or social media.
 
At 3am was dead despite strong signal and now flying at 6:30am?
 
My average speeds with 3 bars of signal is between 20 and 30Mbps, but today I haven't been able to go past the 3Mbps mark. Anyone else experiencing extremely slow speeds today?
 
400 plus pings and 3mbps but only now tonight.

This morning was still ok at 20mbps.
 
And all ok again at 30ms ping and 30mbps plus . Always 5 bars.
 
And now blazing speeds but had to switch to vodacom lte to post!
 
Speedtest showed 37 mbps but real world usage had to switch to vodacom lte to post on mybb
 
Day 2 of download speeds unable to pass the 4Mbps mark. Reported it and got a case number but unsure if there's any solution to this. On what grounds can I cancel my contract without worrying about penalty fees?

I called Telkom Mobile (081180) yesterday with a tower issue- got a phone call today informing me that they were looking into it. Came home and the speed issue was sorted bigtime!

Login to the router (192.168.8.1), click settings, enter u & p, click on system then device info. Give them the Cell ID and make sure that they pass this onto the techie's.

Sent them a support query now. We've been having scht speeds since early March (Douglasdale).
