Unfortunately you'll need to upgrade the 6 cell battery to a 9 cell battery (99$) and add the 12 cell battery slice (399$) to get 16 hours.

And of course, it "depends on hardware and software usage".

In other words - don't use the screen.

I bought my D830 a couple of months ago on a special, of course the "aaaargh!!!" factor pops up now that there is a new model... I soon got pacified though when I configured a E6500 with the closest spec to mine and it came to a whopping R7000 difference! Now I feel better, plus the fact that the 9 cell battery also seem to be a R1000 more.

I don't care about "expensive". I just don't want my current 2h power-guzzling super-laptop anymore.
