Depression.

Sister in Law have completely lost it. Everyone is the enemy now. She been sending messages to everyone in the family how wrong and selfish they are and wants to divorce her husband. The things she say makes no sense at all. I suspect chronic depression + bipolar. Something snapped.

How do you make someone take their meds before they destroy their family, husband and kids?

Obviously saying this out of care.
Bump my comment

Sounds like you are hearing voices in your head. Real or imagined.
Maybe you have too many clones running, ponderer. Go back to the "evidence of God's existence" thread and come and apologize afterwards.

But how do you get someone that is going bonkers to think like that, before it gets worse.
When it happened in my family, focus on who's getting hurt helped the person realise she needs to give it a go to stop damaging her loved ones.

But professionals are usually needed, her rights may need to take a back seat for the extreme periods.

Should definitely go back on meds. + need to get them adjuste. Stopped taking them without supervision. Very typical.

Yikes. Just dropping some meds without tapering them off can induce some really negative side effects.
And if you throw in bipolar on top of that then it becomes a serious problem.

Exactly the same thing happened to a family member of mine last year. End November he began acting strangely, started spending money like crazy, insulted everybody and kicked his girlfriend out. Said he felt invincible.

Sorry to give you bad news but he deteriorated over the next couple of months until we literally ambushed him and had him involuntarily committed to a psych hospital. He was assessed, received treatment and meds and was sent home after 2 weeks. He's still on meds.

It's been a flippen tough few years for some of us :crying:

EDIT: In fact I threw my toys at Lifestyle Garden Centre last week. Made a spectacle of myself but I just did not care and I still don't.
