So, after way too many unnecessary delays I think I'm finally going to get around to doing the upgrade thing this week. I'm thinking of going Desire S. Anyone else out there have one yet?
 
I have the HTC desire which is the model before the Desire S, and I must say it is the best phone I have owned. I previously used to have the iPhone 3GS and since I got the desire I have not used the iPhone again.

So assuming this, the Desire S should be awesome.

can those who have a stock desire s with sense 3 please tell me if they having heavy wifi drain?
im getting heavy wifi drain 40ma in standby
and with mobile data its only 9ma in standby

I take it that is mAh?

Anyway what I found with my Old Desire is I was using the wrong Radio+RIL, maybe a better question would be for someone to quote the version numbers they have on stock and confirm that your ROM has the same or try and source it.

im stock- not rooted so its not a radio issue
im on the latest ota available
 
Hi. I just upgraded my Desire S to Official ICS RUU on Wednesday. ICS is stable and uses less ram. Everything runs smooth so far. Only thing that i would like to have on ICS is power saver like with Gingerbread. I use a app now to do this part. It took me a while to figure out how to change the lockscreen apps shortcuts.

they added a pdf file on how to install the ruu
i wonder if htc will fix the few bugs that ppl are experiencing
most people are saying no
 
How come HTC hasn't formally announced the update in the site. There is no link it just says release date: 2012.
