Difference between DSTV Compact, DSTV Select 1 and DSTV Select 2

There doesn't appear to be much difference in channels between these three options, but DSTV Compact is more expensive at ZAR219/month, whilst DSTV Select 1 and DSTV Select 2 are both ZAR139/month.

Am I missing something, do I need to have another look at the list of channels?

Also, to anyone that subscribes to DSTV Select 1 or DSTV Select 2, and used to be a direct MonoChoice customer, what is involved in cancelling with MonoChoice and signing up for DSTV Select 1 or DSTV Select 2 with Vodacom?

Considering that MonoChoice has decided to increase its pricing yet again, and having just properly compared the channels between the above 3 options, I think I will downgrade to DSTV Select 1.​

Select 1 and 2 don't offer sport channels except Blitz and Action. Basically news and highlights. Blitz supposedly does show some live sport but Compact gives you SS3 and ESPN as well.

Also, MonoChoice say that I can downgrade to DSTV Select 1 without signing up with Vodacom - whereas Vodacom 111 say I have to go through a whole new credit vetting schlep at a Vodashop - which I simply couldn't be bothered with.

Is there an option, or can I make a query, to select specific channels I want?

If no... what alternatives are there? I would like to choose 7 sport channels only.. possible?

No chance, you can choose between the few packages. If you want all the sport you have to pay full price & get premium

I went down to compact for 2 weeks and couldnt handle it,so i said no to beer and im back on premium.
Budget cuts suck!
