Hi all

I have a 4Mb line.

During the WA local trial, I was getting local download speeds (uTorrent) peaking at 429Ks.

During the same time, international download speeds through Afrihost are topping out at 320Ks.

Now that the trial is over and I'm only running Afrihost, the international download speeds are still only reaching 320Ks.

Why such a difference?

Probably because the Afrihost service has a higher contention ratio compared to that of the WA trial, for obvious reasons.

The WA trial, is, as you know, a TRIAL, with +- 8000 users, while Afrihost has way more than 8000 users running in a live, real world environment. And with Afrihost's cheaper prices, I'm sure they've got a lot of users, who are downloading a crap load of stuff.
