are the test accounts still up and running

how are speeds looking

can anyone play wow online whit a dc account

Edit : and o yes what ever happened to dave at first he was everywhere now sadly he is no where

Not if they're constantly trying to improve said speeds.

Which yes, they are.

The inability to do so efficiently does NOT mean intent to mislead. They believed they could provide and are continuously trying to do so.

Someone being a jackass and trying to legally strong arm them into competence is a little foolish. If they needed a lawyer to give us the speeds we're promised then every IT department would be a miniature law-firm before you know it.

Everything is back to normal so to speak. Whatever the problem was has seemed to be fixed (for now at least).

HTTP is king while p2p, streaming audio, IM and now youtube are just fools Mr.T Pitty's.

In the past 4 hours I managed exactly 566mb through http (multi threaded) which aint bad at all, in fact it's great on a 384 line! :D

I believe that the "up to 256kbps" statement is just until their networks stabilise to the point they can guarantee the minimum of 256kbps, would be stupid for them to take that away.
 
Dudes, 256k is not enough....trust me...maybe if 4-6 players are playing yes...12-18 nope 512 minimum...remember that you are not constantly transmitting 256k...you are bursting some times and some times you are sending nothing. You cannot translate 60 MB p/h into transmitting 128kb per second constantly...or whatever.

The more players the more bandwidth...yes ping does come into play when going international but these days games need more bandwidth...who in the US or UK has a 384 line? ffs


Just played COD MW2 today...i was shi$t....so after 1 hour i checked on my pc....yep...downloads running :) stopped them.....pawning some a$$

If anyone out there is getting more on a 384kb/s line please for crying out loud tell me what your settings are or how the f... ur doing it!
Or just point me in the direction of ANYTHING to download over http.. i'm not paying for rapidshare or the like though, ive already splashed on astra and i'm rewarded with 1kb/s and thats probably when i'm "busting" other times it's 0

That sucks, but luckily Astraweb has an infinate rollover right? I know 2 great sites for 384 users which I am using to the fullest :) Though I'm not sure if it's allowed to post sites with err not exactly legal content :confused:
 
DC clearly has me on the "We dont need you as a customer please go away list"
 
I'm begging here. Will someone please tell me what to do to get more than 5kB/s on torrents. Using utorrent 1.8.5

612mb downloaded in 4 days. At this rate wtf needs uncapped? I got better speeds on dial-up

Torrents are being shaped atm so unless you mask your torrents as http downloads you're gonna have to wait unfortunately :o May I ask what you were downloading? Maybe we can help you find what you're looking for through HTTP which is amazing :D

What you belive and what the reality is, appears to be quite different....
