DigiChilli January Status and feedback

Morning

My report:

Browsing very good on my side
HTTP multi-tread downloads max my line out (384)
FTP up and down still very slow
Tested Skype yesterday, very nice talking between me and the client, did not test the video call.
YouTube still loads slow but faster than before (100 - 160KB/s)
IM via Miranda is good, MSN and Gtalk logs in without a problem.
I can even play on partypoker.com :D

I can't log onto Cheapernews newsgroup. Can't ping it either. Its works fine with another DSL account.

@Dave = Is this newsgroup blocked on your side?
 
browsings seems fine.finaly.http dloads also ok.just one thing.PLS FIX/UNTHROTTLE or whatever FTP!!can update any sites.local or international!!PLs!get no data via ftp at all.int or local.

Its been blocked by a complaint of copyright infringement against a client.
We're waiting for our lawyer to resolve this.
 
Dave's last post in this thread was on Friday, which was a public holiday. Saturday and Sunday I am assuming he wants to rest a little. Why don't you guys give him till next week before you say he stopped reading the thread?

I do apologize for this post i just havnt seen you post anything on this forum for a while. Please may we have a update on DigiChilli?

HTTP downloads seem fine maxing out at 29KB/s on a single thread but HTTPS is dead. Unable to connect to any secure site as a result PSN won't connect and can't do internet banking.

  • HTTPS is maxed out. Hilly will kill some nzbs as soon as he can.
  • He has developed a better gaming profile which he'll implement after lunch with his mom. (That may be late!)
  • FTP uploads are in the same time slot.

Start getting into the habit of ignoring those complaints :D Your job is to provide a dumb pipe, not look at what people are going to or getting involved in copyright cases. You might even be walking a dangerous legal line there if you dont have a court order.

Downloads without download manager: avg 13KB/s
Downloads with download manager: Avg 35KB/s
Did video skype calls yesterday and went as well as it could with my line. Made several calls, but had 2 dropped calls out of about 8 calls. I cannot determine if this is DG problem or maybe my line (Telkom problem).
I don't do news servers and rarely torrents. I can't comment on them. In general, I'm happy how this trial account works.
