Yip still on and it's still doing great. If I actually had a 4mb line and could actually afford MWEB's 4mb uncapped package then maybe I might consider moving to them or some cheaper ISP :)
 
Pretty much mirror XineoX. There have been some rough patches but this month has been the best on DC by FARRRRRR. Managed 70gigs this month and really am not going to have issue with that amount (which is more than enough to get more than I can entertain myself with in any given month).

The only griping thing is the repeated false "non-payment" suspensions and I really hope they get that in order next month.

I just phoned telkom 0800 375 375, and had them test my line, since the last I checked with them, a few months ago, I was not able to get above 512k.

They said that they been doing upgrades and I am now able to get 4megs!!! :D

Now to shop around for the best uncapped, unshaped service... :whistle::love::D

Sadly, in the Cape Town area, the 8-10meg service trials are only rolled at Clairemont and Seapoint (or did he say Greenpoint?) at the moment, so it will be a while before they get to me.
 
Hmmm speeds seem to have slown down but not as bad as 12kB/s more like 18-25kB/s. Still crap but hey still had an amazing month :D

4mb line... tis a dream come true :p I'd wait before you jump into any new isp just for a week or so, I have a funny feeling prices aren't ready to stop going down ( I hope so at least) :whistle:

How can it get any better? Maybe some great news before midnight! Just imagine Telkom announcing their uncapped prices or MyIsp changing their prices to R99?! The next few months will be exciting indeed :)

Yes, seems MWEB is winning the uncapped battle.

Well, I just tried to "cool down", but the username and password do not work on the site. Officially stopped using the service at 11H50. At least it was EFT, which is the best thing, after uncapped. ;)

Thanks for a great experience to all at DigiChilli! You guys really brought SA uncapped at a cheap price. I wish you all the very best and hope you bring your prices down or speeds up, to compete fully with the offers in the market at present. :D

Yes, finally being able to get 4megs is a dream come true. :D

Yes, I won't do anything with the upgrade at telkom, until it announces it's product upgrades/pricing. It won't help getting the 4meg account and then getting bumped up to 8megs, but I cannot use it, since my area is not 8meg capable. If the 512k package price remains and it is bumped up to 4meg speed, then that is what I will go for.

Uploaded: 3 497 802 573
Downloaded: 66 016 172 711
Total Combined: 69 513 975 284

Now if I had pushed it and actually tried my hardest I believe I could've done 80+ gigs. Thanks DC :)

I hope DC brings out better prices asasp, 20% discounts are nice but when you're up to R81 more expensive for a 384k uncapped package well then I think it's time to move on. I am sure DC will have price cuts soon tho :p
 
Mweb is MUCH better ATM. Doing between 100 - 300 bps during "peak" times and full line speed from +-11pm onwards. Digi did go a far way to bring uncapped into SA, but ultimately it failed for them. The must seriously review their offers and prices
 
My stats for March on a 384k line, spicy:

77GB down
25GB up

Not much downtime, but I hate the fact that browsing etc is pathetic.

Jumped ship for April, might be back if it stabilises.
 
DC has slowed down, I'm getting 10-20KB/s max.

Edit: scratch that, my speeds have just gone full speed(30-40KB/s) and holding steady. :D

DC is either throttling us or their is a general network problem :confused:

.....I doubt it's due to over congestion :whistle:
