DigiChilli January Status and feedback

I'm actually shocked at what good value the DC packages have continued to be given all the recent negative IS and Mweb developments. I'm not really sure how they're making a profit but I'm sure as hell happy.

Digichilli is really more for the little guys out there. R240 for an actual uncapped account seems reasonable, no?

MWEB is R20 cheaper but do you get full speed 24/7 if you want it? Also I've never been warned about downloading too much or been accused of bypassing DC's shapping (if they even have any :p). While I do agree R3000 is way too much for 2meg, I still believe R240 for true uncapped 384k is more than enough.

P.S IS uncapped accounts aren't even worth mentention or comparing

Now I'm off to download some more crap I probably don't need. Thank you come again :D

Here is the question; do you run @ full speed with no shaping or is it "bursts"?
How is the 384 account doing?
Tx

Getting 384 95% of the time using news servers. The other 5% is when I am not able to connect at all.

Thats just brilliant - I'll check it out - would be really worth it. I have a news server account with giganews and downstorm should rock on this service.

Awesome, thanks

Just as clickme said 95% is full speed and the the other 5% is when DC is down/Seacom problem.

It really is worth it, even a few hours combined a month isn't bad seeing as when it's up it's great. Also if you do have slow speeds just phone DC and they will sort you out. Also I definately haven't noticed any shaping, just the odd day where downloading a .torrent file is a bit slow. :)

For only R20 more than MWEB it really can't be beat :D

Or get a friend and share the mild package, then its R20 CHEAPER than Mweb :D

The mild and upward packages allows for 2 concurrent connections. Or did allow for 2 concurrent connections, Cause me and friend has been sharing the mild package now for 6 months. Best would be just to confirm with them if new signups on the mild package still get 2 concurrent connections.

Maybe its the same problem???

Hey Friends,

There is currently a Telkom cable break affecting our Gold Uncapped accounts.

Engineers are attending.

ETA: 3 hours.

We apologize for the inconvenience!

Kind regards
MrBEEP

Glad they are online again.
Is the 20% discount gone for everybody, or do they only hate me?
