DigiChilli January Status and feedback

it is what you pay for. why would you expect any more? the more mainstream DC gets the more youll be throttled to you package speed and if you want more then you must get a bigger package. btw where is T&C on their website. i see that p2p is subject to T&C on that package.

It's been over an hour now and I still can't use Rapidshare.
Is there anybody else still having problems downloading from Rapidshare?

Great, thanks for the info, Dave. :D

Now, DC is fast becoming major competition to the other uncapped ISPs. ;)

Let the "bandwidth abusers" flock off... ...to the other ISPs now. :p

Me loves DigiChilli!

Still riding Digichilli coat tails for free? Or you now paying for your service?

Read the post by Dave. If you using RS you will get **** speeds. Done.

I think the T&C are the sections under "legal Information". I'm sure Dave or their legal dept. can clarify issues.

If there's a sticky point, they can edit their info in a minute, to render null and void, any legal complaints. They are allowed to.

Lightscribe and amarjits, thank for the speed tests...your speeds are SO close to each other I'd swear you swopped seats with Lightscribe when he completed is test :)

lightscribe is you SL working yet? and has anyone tested other games after the changes made last nite? This is the only reason i want DC = Online gaming.

*edit*

just for the record if i wanted to download stuff ill get the wug as most of the stuff gets on there any way and i can actually download a full season in a few hours.

the speed test says one thing, but HTTP downloads through RS is stll on zero

I'll check my speeds when I get home and then I'll post...

Yes, me too...just waiting for the school bell to ring :D. Just a thought, the debate around speeds and bandwidth and All and All, don't you guys think that DC decided on contention ratios and bandwidth allocation etc when they designed the packages? That would have been the logical thing to do, therefore me thinks that no matter what we say, Dave and co will stick to what they agreed they'll provide...what's happening at the moment is fine tuning the network in their minds.

After all, the value driver/ proposition they have which Scream does not, is the bursting part? That in my opinion is healthy competition...damn, am I making any sense here? It is rather late in the day :)

I read that post at 08:30 this mourning and the RS speeds where back to 20-30KB/s, but I can't even get a connection now.

The only reason I'm paying for DigiChilli is so I can use my Rapidshare account which I also pay for.
All I would like to know is if these problems with Rapidshare are going to continue or be fixed.

When did the 24 hours begin, was it at 18:00 yesterday when the problems began or when Dave Posted the update?

Sure rapidshare will have 100% access, well it should, as it uses normal HTTP protocols, not like torrents and other p2p. Guess we will have to wait and see, I am in the same boat, have a paid for account specifically because it should not get shaped.

Yes, it's flowing perfectly. There is a slow drift between 1 and 25KB, but it hardly affects Secondlife. Secondlife is made to lower the bandwidth speed anyway, whenever your POV does not change. As you start moving around and looking around, it increases again.

It seems it gets the 24-25KB whenever I turn around, where it has to load new textures/primitives.
