Dude my buddy who is on the same account as me is getting 32k solid on his 384k line. how is it possible he gets constant good speeds but I only get shyte!?
 
Think Dave quit guys no updates since the 16th not as m uch as a peep from dave. AAI i hope he does come back poor oke has taken a beeting over the past few weeks.just need one update and thats when everything is going to be back to normal meen ing...everything working as it should???
 
seems DigiChilli are not the only ones to drop the ball here. I've been hunting around for a better option for a week and have found nothing. Its just too soon for cheap uncapped internet in SA. Nobody seems to have a reliable option.

Constant solid 32k speeds? Sounds like your friend is one of the lucky ones who have been moved to the raw virtual pipe. IF I didn't read things wrong here (few pages back) by the end of the weekend we should all be on the new network or at least a majority should :)

Ok so what you're saying is there is something in the pipeline? I have not heard of this "raw virtual pipe". I guess its hurry up and wait time.

i agree the speeds are great, im getting a constant 450-500kb/s it works out to 1.2mb every 3 seconds down, VERY happy with DC :):)
 
I can connect but nothing is coming down...@#$#!$!#@#!@
Funny my uploads from torrents are flying....40KB/s
at least the guys from NC are smiling :)
 
Well i have now had enough - 1.5kb on rapidshare downloads - zero for torrents and my mail is still not sorted. I skype'd them and they have not replied. I am now struggling to open browser windows. 35kb download if I log onto webstorm.
 
Any updates guys??? Please? Speeds? etc.
My torrents are at 10 KB/s, Skype looks dead now... BTW i'm at work and asking my lady whos at home. lol

HTTP single thread: 11kB/s average
HTTP multi-threaded: averaging 32kB/s to 44kB/s (yes 44kB/s but more like bursting up to 44 and idling at 41-42kB/s)
Torrents: 10kB/s max if I'm lucky
Audio streaming = none
Video streaming = slow but working
IM is working slightly but seems to konk out =/

Anything else you need to know just ask :)
 
Video streaming via Youtube = quite stable at 260kbps
FTP still 1KB/s
did not test skype
IM via miranda, MSN dont wanna log in, Gtalk logs in but konks out in 30secs or so
HTTP downloads and surfing = Very good
torrents, Running between 10kB/s and 15 kB/s
o ja .. FB apps dont wanna log in

dont know how much i can blame DC for and what to pin on Telkom
