I just realised I have been doing (checking up on the network status) for more than a week.....Its getting a bit tiresome......

Yeah was just about to post a similar thing...

torrents have picked up quite a bit.. but somethings are still a bit sluggish.. Getting better and better every day :)

At the risk of being a bit negative, it's different every day, but I wouldn't say better.

Still lots of packet loss to the UK and US. Browsing is slow. Steam won't connect.

I downloaded 700mb with no problems last night over http with a download manager running multiple threads. That's fine for a 384k line. Unfortunately I'm not much of a downloader. I look forward to all protocols working.

Torrents are dead slow and SKYPE IS UNUSABLE!!! The quality sucks big time!

every time i read this thread i see a different excuses for the issues they currently having.....
connection on/off/on ,steam works maybe once a day , slow HTTP downloads
enough with the excuses and give the people the service they paid for , been like almost 1.5 months of issues ...

just my 2 cents

Mmm ... just purchased a game on Steam. Seems it picked up a local server for the download (steam.isgaming.co.za), so it's downloading at just a tad over 300 kB/s.

How did you find out which server was being used? I've been battling with steam ever since I got digichilli. I can log in now, but my downloads don't work.

I selected Africa as my download region, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. Steam is important to me now that I'm on holiday and I'm wondering when its going to be up and running properly through digichilli.

I am tracking connections on my firewall to see what's happening. I also selected Africa in my list. Perhaps I just got lucky.

my GTalk has gone bye bye.....

can't download any single http downloads.....they all get to about 20% and time out.....

the only place that I can download from is media fire.....

Single threaded downloads are :( Torrents are :( News Servers :(

Steam was :( But for some reason it has picked up meaning I can browse the store but I am to scared to log off and on again. Had to use my other ISP details to log in then quickly change back to DC...

HTTP browsing is :)

*sigh* How much longer till the network issues get sorted out? I saw someone mentioned that Dragon Age Origins is not logging in? That is :(

I've used SteamWatch and the windows firewall to block other connections other than the isgaming one (196.38.180.3), but it didn't work. When I look at the logs, the isgaming server is never chosen.

What game were you downloading? Maybe the local content server doesn't have the games I'm trying.

Apparently webafrica is setting its own local content server. Does anyone know the latest on that?

I am downloading Morrowind and Oblivion. HL2 is not downloading at the moment, so I assume IS doesn't have it.

With all the internet problems I hope digichilli is dishing out refunds. This is definitely not hot!!
