When I get home today, I will check for disconnections.

"Due to the fact that the Mozilla Foundation disallows us to show the Firefox logo within our FireTune software, we are no longer able to distribute FireTune, otherwise we would face legal actions initiated by Mozilla. Because of that we have removed the FireTune product from our product catalogue and do no longer offer it for download. Downloads of FireTune from third party websites are out of our control."

 Going to look for it on third party sites then ;)

I am now connected for 4 hours, so it seems the PPPoE disconnections are over. TCP sessions still gets killed off at times, though.

Still getting scocket timeout errors on rapidshare. suppose this is because of pocket loss. downloading between 30kbs adn 45kbs ave about 35kbs. Speeds seems good, but cannot finish any download as just before the end i get the socket error. Does not happen on my other ISP.

All in all things looking good for DC

I'm just using the 'Automatic from ISP' setting and am not having any DNS issues so far.

Downloads from Rapidshare are are real problem though as I keep on getting TimeOuts similar to what absk300 stated.
