No, it's not the other way around. The downstream is minimum 256k, it's burstable all the way up to 4mbit. It's not a 256k constant down and nothing more. If you think the problem is them having the pipes backwards, why don't you go and help them fix it, instead of insulting their intelligence and implying incompetence.

Right now it only 256k down if you use the other order you get 256k>512k down and 256k up

Grim3vil is right in a sense. Our upstream DSL isn't under load at all. The upstream will perform better at this stage. We can't swop them around or everyone will get 512 down.

Dave

Ps What patches?

small fragments of larger patch all fragments get put together to make one big patch

you can take the 512 and add the 256 you get 768 and you divide that and you get 384 down and 384 up

Thanks for the info Dave. :)

Flows well nearby and steadily decreases in speed as the distance increases. Pings are always fast.

Then it died halfway through the the LA test http://www.speedtest.net/result/652278410.png

Pings to the East, Hong Kong, are double the pings to the West. Seems to hang like LA also.Could not complete more than a ping of 1112

Second try got halfway through with the DL and no UL, with a ping of 1116 and then hung...slowly getting through...very slowly... http://www.speedtest.net/result/652290652.png

Oz is pretty slow also, but at least with a tiny bit more speed and a tiny bit less hanging than Hong Kong. Nope, just hangs with the DL.
