And on what basis can you give this advice? Back it up or keep quite.
I have both a Digichilli account and SAOL account; I can tell you SAOL does not dip below 35KB, torrents max out at 39KB. The results speak for themselves.
The basis is probably just that he's against being tied down to an ISP, as am I.
They (Cybersmart) also have this in their T&C, if SAOL is reselling it then the same stipulation probably applies:
5. You are required to use the @cybersmart.co.za email address that comes free with your ADSL account
I'm not using an ISP that tells me I can no longer use Gmail etc. I see it as just another way of them tying me down. I would have to change my email address with everything to the new one, and change it later when I drop their package. ISP email addresses are a step backwards these days (as you want to be able to change ISP on a whim).
I can't use my prepaid backup accounts either if their network goes down, as was stated earlier.
Any ISP other than SAOL gives those same kind of results, so will DC when it's fixed. SAOL isn't all that great so far as I can tell (yes their package is attractive but there will always be something better looking). My advice to anyone right now would be don't get any contracts with anyone, wait it out using prepaid or conventional capped accounts as you have already been doing, more ISPs will surely release competing packages.
@Phatboy I'm sure I read that Cybersmart does not use Seacom, therefore if SAOL resells Cybersmart it is not Seacom either.
