(Sorry to Double post if I have)

Why don't you do a PPPoE connection in Windows with a WAN Miniport and set your router to Bridge mode? That way you can manage connections easily (I was sick of switching accounts in my router so I've changed to this now)

Isn't it easier to just set up multiple pppoe connections in windows and try re-dialing it now and then? Depressing to have to use such a method though but much less of a pain in the ass than re-configuring a router again and again.

[Edit] Heh, Stroebs beat me to it [/Edit]

Thanks, I did it before and it did not work...I forgot to put it in Bridge mode... :o:whistle:

Works now with the DC account back on also. :D

eerrr...

Quite harsh criticism there. Maybe what you should've done is called? Did you?

WWWHHHAAATTT TTTHHHEEE FFFUUUCCCKKK!!!!?????

Harsh criticism?
Are you from Mars?

3 weeks and no reply?
I'd be fukkin livid!!

i am part of a business and we have an email based helpdesk that I am partially responsible for. If any ticket on that helpdesk is over 18 hours old, my boss makes sure I know about it inn some very unpronounceable language!!
That's business buddy!

If digichilli do not have some sort of helpdesk software (www.kayako.com) then too bad for them, but not responding and satisfying a client is business suicide.

Fair enough that they have network problems that are out of their control, but client/server relationships are fully up to them..

O well, back to 64kbs, no sweet dreams for me. Now have to was my underpants with a sad face

I can't believe this is still going on. I was part of the trial and thought to myself, when they launched that I should sign up as a show off support.

Was that a big mistake. This entire month has been nothing but trouble, the communication that we commended them on has all but grind to a halt. The network is up and down, often with no response from DC.

I mean surely things like HTTP, HTTPS, IM, etc. should be made to work, let alone torrents. I have ended up spending more money this month due to DC, and thats ignoring the fact that they debitted me incorrectly, something I have actually been very understanding about.

Add to this that I have been made to look bad because I recommended them to a bunch of people, all of which paid and have been getting crap service. I was thinking of sharing my account with a friend but can't do that because it would be plain wrong to take money from someone else for a service I know is crap.

Bottom line is that if the service is not up to scratch by next week I will be "Cooling off" as they say. Just can't see how this can be seen as acceptable service.

+1 i agree with u on that... im lucky and havnt suggested this to any business clients....have been thinking about it but halted very quickly...also i have plently friends that have joined DC and arent happy at all... im gng to keep digichilli to myself till i cn "sell" it for them and know that the person i am selling it to is gng to get the good service...but right now...there is no service...yes i know its xmas and all but call axxess...call openweb.... call hellkom and there will be a human answering the phone(even if it does take three hours with telkom some text book teckie will answer after they have had thier tea)

Just like DC, fix 1 thing, break 1 thing. Surfing looks now fine, can see https sites. Standard Bank site seems slow, standard side, not https. Got into gmail.

But torrents very slow. Again seems like they just can't get their balancing act right.

give them a bucket full of side to hold on the lighter side :p

This is the worst service I have ever received. If things dont change by the 1st of January, I will not be sticking around. I'v given them enough time to sort out their rubbish service.

Makhulu Chilli, where is the stable network you said you would deliver 2 weeks ago? Did you not tell me that you are "SURE" that within 2 weeks your network will be stable? Now its gonna be some other poor excuse why your network is not stable.

tsk tsk tsk...

Cannot stream 5fm.

Secondlife won't log on.

The MyConnection Program just hangs or says it cannot do the most of the tests because of "no connection".

The download is at zero and uploads at 5KB.

Browsing international seems to flow at between 8-16 KB.

Downloads and uploads are expressed in kilobits per second. Sorry about the formatting. It seems like the board software automatically removes double spaces

Clearly the past 3 days on average have been dramatically worse than any of the previous 16.

I have downloaded some local and some international traffic. On the days where I've had good download rates (i.e. the 12th) the connection was clearly to local content.

@CambodiaDave: Do you have any news for us on why the network has suddenly gotten so much worse on both international and local traffic?

The differences in speeds that everyone has been getting has been a worry to me, still don't see why we don't all get the same service. And how those on faster accounts can get high speeds while mild accounts barely work... Surely if faster accounts are getting well over 256 line speeds it should not be hard to get the 256 accounts to run at their maximum guaranteed speed... Or am I missing something?

Basically, I want to know why some people are getting a working product and others have never? If it is outside of DC's control, i.e. in London then surely we should all be receiving equally bad qulity of service? And I am no longer buying that IP bull**** that was the excuse ages ago...

Well min speed should be 384 standard cause 384 will be phased out some time then the min line speed will be 512

My usage in the last few days:
(In GB)
Date - Upload - Download - Combined
21-DEC-09 - 0.046 - 0.495 - 0.542
22-DEC-09 - 0.879 - 2.559 - 3.438
23-DEC-09 - 0.609 - 2.430 - 3.039
24-DEC-09 - 0.814 - 2.715 - 3.529
25-DEC-09 - 0.692 - 1.211 - 1.903
26-DEC-09 - 0.373 - 0.826 - 1.199
27-DEC-09 - 0.021 - 0.006 - 0.027

Look at the usage on the 22nd, 23rd and 24th and compare it to the 25th to today. I was excited about this service when I started off with great speeds and now I'm completely astonished at how things can change.
