Am I dreaming? HTTP downloads over 40KBps and intl torrents hovering between 20-40KBps? EVERYTHING seems to be working?

PLEASE, PLEASE dont change anything Dave......
 
Yip, my browsing speeds are also moving along very nicely indeed
 
thanks for confirming. Never seen such speeds on DC.......

I sure hope it stays this way......
 
Don't know if they did something (or succeeded), or we are the only two with the entire pipe to ourselves, but whatever it is WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!
 
So to the entire DC staff...kudos to what you did, and if you did not do anything...DON"T MOVE A FINGER!!

I had the same problem the account I was emailed dc_dsl_ ( ..... ) does not work at all but my gmail test account now that works but I get horrible download speeds across the board Steam, torrents, news servers and single threaded http. I have emailed support with the query as to why my account does not work but I think they are to busy trying to get the network running to worry about the small things...

Thanks guys.

Two things we did yesterday.

1) Finally got the shaper in line even if it's not totally configured.

2) We used my hammer. Handed out temp bans to 50 of those guys that were consistently pulling more than 5 gigs/day. This represents <3% of users on the system. Its not the way we wanted to go but we have to also allow our rep to survive and others to use the system. These bans will be in place until we're happy to let them back on cos we know that they can't break or circumvent any of policies within the system.

Hey. I can even stream Youtube properly this morning and torrents are running about 30K. Any other feedback that we can use to make this a better place for all?

Um Dave I am still having a horrid time with my side of life but it is slightly better. Thanks for temp banning some of them people ;).

Just general speed or specific sites?
 
News server downloads, purring like a kitten

Youtube streaming without an issue

Http browsing fast and responsive

Geez more tha 5 gigs a day, I am impressed if I can get a max of 2 a day and that is with 24/7 news server downloads
 
Hard reset did help out on my side, it was not a lot but it was something. Some areas are still flaky eg: torrents and steam comes and goes, news servers are also on and off. But it is a lot more than what I was getting before so this is definitly a step in the right direction :).
