Seems like screamer is doing better. I actually have an account with DC and screamer. The problem with screamer is that you don't get a public IP (not dynamic or static), which is a problem for me as I run a SME server from home

Well, good thing I did not sign up as yet.

Judging by the amount of posts, it seems DC users can only visit MYBB.

Come end Jan early Feb, hopefully we will have more and better choices.

has anyone left thier details with DC and gotten a call back? :wtf:

i have called three or four times... been asked to leave my contacts details (cell number) and cell hasnt rung with a chill on the other side not once!
 
Yes I am still around :) I have been reading and hoping things get better :-/

Unfortunately I have had to go back to WA Local Only accounts as I have not been able to get much downloaded via DC, I am still on a trial account though so haven't complained about it.

I will continue to follow this thread and hopefully soon the service will be what it should :) I see no reason y DC won't b able 2 achieve this, they just need some time....
 
Well if Im not happy end of the month,I'll cancel and go to Screamer simple as that.

I've had to abandon local for now and grab everything I need from intl sources - local is quite close to dead atm.
Intl http is problematic though..... and let's not mention https.... local and intl.


I'm holding thumbs for a successful outcome (soon, hopefully).
 
Bandwith Meter shows I was limited to 64kb/s the entire night!

Dave, I know you reading these, and the packet loss issue has long gone.

Why no updates?

That is my PDF reader updating. I seems they are throttling each protocol, let me try explain how i see it,

you have 100% of your line.

50% go to HTTP browsing

20% to downloads (HTTP, P2P, Torrents and so)

the 30% that is left is there for a reserve, updates and so

why not give the full 100% to the customer, and let him decide, if he wanna browse he must turn his torrnet,p2p downloads of or so.

or he can get netlimiter and do the throttling himself, that is what i do

Judging how you guys must feel...No one has come back to me yet in connection with the login details...so I am "Cooling Down" and move back to Afrihost which still gives me good service and value for money.Goodbye DC - I cannot recommend you to anyone...:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Went flatline about 20 min ago. Using my openweb account just to post this

No idea what there tech skills are inside digichilli...but by now if I where the boss I would have contracted outside help to get the issues resolved

Screamer was recommended by a friend and I applied with them beginnig Dec but was mailed a day later stating that there capacity is maxed out and they'll be in contact in Jan 2010 to confirm my application before activating my account once there infrastructure has been upgraded. Every1 i've spoken with is very happy with there service

Searching for someone else I heard about digichilli and went with them... *EISH WENA*
 
15 minutes ago MyBB loaded, if slowly, around 1-6KB.

International browsing, pages loaded between 6-12KB.

Secondlife still cannot log on.

Secondlife "can" work through a http proxy, but it needs UDP to run normally.

Since the UDP (VoIP) on DC has been the worst (MyConnection PC program tests), with downstream(incoming) packet loss at 100%, The UDP needs serious attention. http://mybroadband.co.za/photos/showphoto.php/photo/13976/title/voip-packet-loss/cat/500

The test does not function properly since last night, when the service was restarted by DC. It just hangs at the start, after showing it could not do the download test and then attempts the upload test. http://mybroadband.co.za/photos/showphoto.php?photo=13985&cat=500



The service just died as I tried to upload a picture to MyBB.
The 10.0.0.2 router 1st page shows "connected, no error."

Clicking "test", shows it as "successful".

Still, everything is dead, with pages giving the error message.

Rebooted router and PC and it now shows it not working at all.

PPPoE setup gives the 691 error. Cannot verify u/n p/w.
