DigiChilli Network Status

(I'm on that dreaded .65 range as well for what it's worth....but things were perfect speed wise for the last 3 days)

I must have missed something. What's the issue with being on that range (I'm one of those)?

Anyway, I'm getting the same on-off connectivity at the moment. When it does work for a brief moment speeds seem reasonable, but then it just drops down to 0kb again.

Could anyone tell me what online gaming would be like with a 256 account for 1st person shooters?

I've played a little l4d on mine (local servers only) and it's been fine, the pings do get a little high, though I'm sure that will be sorted out soon enough.

I'm sitting on the 'dreaded' .65 range and I have been fine with speeds all morning. Granted i do get 15-20% packet loss but my downloads range from 50kb/s to 100kb/s(sometimes 200kb/s).

Browsing is a little painful at times as i have to refresh the page quite often but to be honest I expect it. This is a new cheaper service and there are BOUND to be teething problems.

I am quite satisfied with the value I am receiving and I can see that it can only get better in the coming weeks and months

One can expect some problems with a new service like this. Dave has been dumped into the deep side here, but I'm sure they'll come out flying. Need to make some work on their support and news to users and information available, but except for that, I suspect things will go well.

Steep learning curve, but I think they managing quite well.

I haven't got better than 5kb downloads and those are spikes, avergare is around 2kb. And now I haven't been able to connect to my account for almost 2 hours. I wouldn't call that "managing quite well", especially in an industry where one would usually expect a perfectly working account within the hour. It's now been 4 days and it still works worse than a dialup account... You can't advertise and take people's money when you can't produce the goods. Generally, it is called fraud/theft :p

me 2 since about 11.30 dead cant connect error 691

Hi burns, proguy and proff.

Could you all please email us your userid's, registered email addresses and cell numbers so that we can check that you have correct information.

There were some auth issues and we've reset some passwords to be in line with the new higher encryption level.

We need your cooperation please to help identify if you are having connection authorisation issues or are using an incorrect password.

Thank you.

E-mail on it's way...

I'm using Astraweb unlimited for $11 per month.

That would make sense for me if I had, say a 4MB line. All I have is a 384 line and DigiChilli to boot:). With the kind of speeds I am seeing I need all the time in the world to download 180GB (which I have with Astraweb).

Don't have any issues with Astraweb though. Speed is great and no downtime.

Hmm..... not getting any kind of traffic on my account whatsoever. DNS is failing regularly and http traffic fails most of the time, both on local and international. :(

I only got my Digichilli account yesterday (waited 3 days, but i understand the flood), I too had authentication issues, for at least about 60mins it just would not authenticate, eventually it did again.

Last night, traffic was basically a standstill, im talking about 1 k/sec thats if it would connect at all.
Both Local and Int websites would not load. And this is trying FTP and HTTP. This morning FTP traffic was still dead ( < 1k / sec ) HTTP traffic ran about 5K/sec (slightly better).

I ran the Screamer account side by side with the Digichilli account on my 1MB line, and the screamer has actually been a lot better but not where it should be, was running at around 20-25k/sec consistently on ALL protocols (Torrents, FTP, HTTP)

So Digichilli must still be experiencing problems on their network, as a coworker's Afrihost has been faultless, screamer is better, but no joy with Digichilli yet.

Im hanging in there with Digichilli and Screamer for another month or so hoping one of them will succeed.

Same here - slight improvement on international sites......local feels as good as 384K can get.

Lets hope things only get better ;-)

I still have problems with timeouts, get them on local sites. international is slow -5KB/s and local torrents at lease I get +/- 27KB/s

:(

Network is now flying properly for me! :D Latency is a okay and my steam is now able to update games! :D
