DigiChilli Network Status

In my case it's definitely not an issue with my router or ADSL line.
Works 100% on Telkom and does not drop the connection.

Browsing with Chilli is not bad.

HTTP downloads however crawl along and keep on disconnecting.
I have been trying to download the same 200MB file since last night and it has disconnected 5 times already.

I have given up trying to download until this service gets to a state where I can actually make use of it.

Agreed I am getting 40KB with my other ISP :wtf:
 
Early adopters, ouch! one thing my few years in IT has shown me not be a early adopter be it a OS, platform or service. :whistle:
 
I can only access the DC website if I use my other ISP.

It times out if I'm using the DC one.

Rather strange.

@CambodiaDave, do you have a list of applications that are already accounted for in your scheduler? If we want to add an application to this, how do we contact DC to give them the details? I don't want to send in too many duplicates that will slow things down for you, but I also don't want you to miss things.

I have been gone for a day. Are you guys also not comming right with the speeds?:confused:

I am not getting more than 2KBps on my AstraWeb account.:mad:
 
Actually TomasW - this is a valid query -
Dave, has news (port 119 and 5somehting) been all but disabled? I'm also getting 1.2kbps on news downloads that used to fly (for the past few days). Port 80 via rapidshare flies nicely though. Just think it's been managed - perhaps a bit too tightly, or perhaps there are only a few getting in early and the rest getting nothing. Just wondering.

Steam still dead. Intl. latencies are bad. Only browsing is working at the moment for me, well except if i try to go to the DC website that does not work. :?

Edit: No GTALK now as well. GRRRR!!!! Some progress reports would really go along way right now!!!

Helps if you give more details on the speeds.

My downloads run at around 10k, but if I download two things at a time, each run at around 10k.

A third item will settle the combined speed at around 20-25k.

Large file downloads that cannot be resumed with Getright, are a pain to download again.

Hopefully the problem will be sorted out soon. I need certain files which are on servers that do not allow resuming.

I will test Secondlife's http speeds, as soon as my antivirus has stopped it's scheduled scanning.
 
Okay... so what's the process to get my money back?

DigiChilli is just not delivering the service they guarantee, and the service I need.

Just tried my Afrihost account and newsgroups shoot up to 50 kB/s.

i have been completely unable to connect to my DC account in 2 days. My router keeps saying "PPPoE Authentication Failed" or it just idles on "connecting" but doesnt actually get anywhere.. is anyone else having this problem?
 
Im very disappointed at the speeds im getting with DC, its shocking, its ridiculous, switched to my WA account and i hit 4mbs easy!
