DigiChilli Trial Account Feedback/Status/Results

Seacom does not support 20 X 155Mb connections a this time, they would be lucky to be sharing 1 X 155Mb pipe. This test with 50 users is pointless, because when they start to reach the 140Mb capacity limiter their accounts will start to suffer due to the lack of experience when nearing that capacity.

Would help if you knew what you were talking about.

Seacom have lit 100Gbps of the cable.. therefore it can easily support 20 x 155Mb connections.

Technically incorrect would be something along the lines of Seacom can support that kind of bandwidth but will not allow someone to purchase 20 x 155Mbps connections.

His statement was downright wrong.
 
Ten wavelengths lit, only 2 functional. DigiChilli are not a Tier1 ISP so they would not be given more than 1 X 155Mb pipe. Pings on the seacom cable are too high both locally and internationally and so far they have not kept up to their SLA at all. But happy testing.
 
So you clearly know NOTHING about Digichilli and are now just making random comments.

Even if Digichilli were to approach Seacom directly, they can get as MUCH bandwidth as they can pay for.... Seacom and Neotel don't have stupid restrictions in place.

How does seacom ping on local sites btw? It is an UNDERSEA cable that leaves the country, you know that Person don't you?

You actually forget that that is a Neotel link between Mtunzini (where Seacom lands in KZN) and Midrand (Neotels Data Centre)...

The link between JHB and CT is on Neotels backbone.

WTF is Technically "correct" getting his information from? Even my sister (who barely knows how to switch on a PC) knows what's going on by just reading mybroadband.co.za's news articles.

Seacom between JHB and CPT? Last time I drove from CPT to JHB there was no sea inbetween, so no idea where the sub-marine cable is (sub-marine means under water to those who don't understand what it means)
