General Internet surfing speeds are amazing, everything just seems to load so far. HTTP download speeds are between 25kbps and 35kbps.

Will be testing Quake Live Now

I loaded up Quake Live and connected to an IS server in JHB. The result for me (tested it a few times) was sad and painful to say the least.

At the start all was fine with a ping of 60 but soon it went up to over 400 :0 then it varied between 60 and 360

only 50 for now. But its not a capacity thing.

They have 20x 155megs seacom access.

Upstream provider is messing with their portion of the network.

Its looking like the traffic flow is not consistant ... back on Afrihost for now ... its only in test phase gents so lets not get discouraged
