Disconnections every hour?

Is it just me or is anyone getting disconnected every hour? It's pretty strange because it happens exactly 1 hour after I make a connection. It's been doing this for a couple of days now and it's pretty annoying. I'm in the Sunnyside area and I'm on Neolite.
 
It is not just you. It won't even redial properly any longer. Sooooooo glad I cancelled
 
Same here in CT...and guess what? I wrote a long reply to your post and then got disconnected as I sent it! Super frustrating!

Happens exactly 1 hour after connection and they started this crap on Monday...Definitely time to cancel!
 
same here in jhb south, i am on neotel light, first of all my speed is betweem 1kbs and
7kbs very slow, then it disconnects all the time and on top of that it some times just dies but does not disconnect, then i must disonnect and then reconnect again, and on top of that, it does not redial properly. this is impossible
 
Yep, all the same symptoms on this side, except for the speed, I'm running at the max speed all the time. Great reception on the top floor of my house.
When did this start for you @catruter?

This is going to drive me insane!!! every hour on the hour my connection disconnects and it will not automatically re connect. This is not what i signed up for because its been like this for the last 7 days and Neotel cannot give me a eta for the fix.
 
Thanks, I didnt even think of that as i am on the unlimited prime package and besides that my downloads for the month have been the worse ever recorded due to terrible download speeds. i dont even think i got 30gigs for the month!!!!
 
No way am I being capped...haven't downloaded that much at all!
I'm probably in the 20's but nowhere near 30!
If we had a useage tracker this would be able to tell us...
 
Also getting disconnected every hour and it doesn't redial properly. I either get a bad username/password error or some other error that pretty much forces me to reboot as it refuses to connect.
 
Same here. Anyone know if Neotel's aware of this and if they are looking at this problem? I can no longer leave my machine to download unattended. I think I do 900 megs a day because of all the disconencts. Previously I could do 10 gig+ a day.
 
I spoke to the call centre 2 days ago and they confirmed that there is a problem but no eta for a fix which is not really good enough!
 
Same thing here, every hour. I got full signal and 60 RSSI, gets disconnected every hour. On the neotel prime 10gig account.
 
Setup a manual connection in Windows, set it to redial every 30 seconds and to redial upon disconnection

That's what I do... works like a charm.
