Disconnections

Maintenance

We will be making changes during the course of the night between 1H00 & 02H00 which is not meant to cause any interruptions but does not exclude the possibility of loss of service during this period.

I am also having this problem and it is happening alarmingly frequently. Can't even hold a skype conversation without it redialling every few minutes. You have my details neotel rep

Yeah Gdiza, easy on there laddie...

Gdiza,

What message are you getting when this happens bud? Do you have date as to when this started? Ummm If the rest of the guys on the forum would include that, that will also be helpful please.....

Happening since last week sometime - I get about 3 different Windows errors.

Basically what I do is turn off the device, restart the PC (I just do it to kill time) and then when PC comes up, works - I don't have to restart PC, but I just wait.

Ive dropped 3 times today, and last night twice. Thought it was just me...

Anywho, I moved to tower 320, 1/5 the interference, hitting the 700kb/s mark.

I've also been having these probs. I just thought it was the phone whacking out, guess not. I have it maybe every 3-4 hours happening on me.

Bedfordview, Jozie... Disconnects happening all the time, all day.

What is going on Mr Neotel rep??

You guys plugging in that Seacom cable but the connector just wont fit?? Or are you out of coverage for Seacom? :D

Sigh....still all the disconnects, slow speeds, and now I cant even watch videos on youtube! they wont even load let alone buffer. Neotel what the hellkom is going on???

We would love some answers Mr Rep!

Had it happen again, except, I took screenshots of the errors;

Error 734: The PPP link control protocol was terminated.

Error 691: Access was denied because the username and/or password was invalid for the domain.

Neotel, are we going to get some answers or what?

Why do I always have to scream and moan to get some bloody answers!

I tried to log a call now with Neotel.

OMG man  could the customer care get anymore pathetic?
The guy sounded like he dropped the phone, picked it up, carried on having his conversation and then answered me, then half way though the wall, he puts his hand over the mic, chats for like 30 seconds and then chats to me.

How unprofessional!

Anyways, to log a call guys, remember you need to give them your RSSI & PN information which you get by entering *#2368*#07# into your device (or at least, the Neotel Prime Unlimited device)

My RSSI: 68
My PN: 172

My Reference number: 97286

48 hours turn around time for a answer.

Please log your problems with the call centre, or as the Neotel techy says, you're pissing into the wind.

I was having the same problem a couple of months back for about 2 weeks. Thank goodness for my backup 3G. But after that I've seldom ever had a drop. Actually the service has been running perfectly since then.

I put it down to Neotel either having upgraded the tower during that time or replaced some faulty hardware.

Having the same problem, thought it might have something to do with them digging up the roads. Any answer yet from the rep? I can't even download a 1MB file .

Please phone Neotel on 0800 333 636 and log a fault.

It's the only way we get these guys to look at our problems.
Please post your reference number and RSSI & PN numbers (see my post earlier on how to get it)

Lol, ive had a call logged now for almost two weeks. What i do is phone them every 48 hours and ask whats happened to the call. Everytime get the ****ty answer that its been handed to the techie and they cant tell me when he will contact me...

**** SERVICE!

I woke up this morning to my phone being 'buggered' and by 'buggered' the LCD is like covered in black pixels.

This has not happened in while.

I restart the device, goto First Aid, come back, same story!

Neotel rep... any news for us?

My device has been resetting like a monster today. But speeds have been good. Getting a nice 100kB/s :D

Since I've got home from First Aid, yes, the device's speeds have been great (near 100KB/s) but damn it man, it disconnects every 10 minutes! (±)

I <3 my UMR. Does all that reconnect stuff automaticly :D

I've setup my Neotel to redial but still, even with that, problems occur and then I come home to a 'dead' device... very bloody irratating!

Or think that I'm trying to download the BF2 patch (2GB one) and it's on a NON RESUMING server... everytime it dies, START AGAIN!
